"Staying about 2 miles away so we went into the Village to find a Dog friendly pub for food and drink. Walking in to see several dogs lying quietly about was a encouraging start. Busy but a couple of tables free. Had a Pint of Doom Bar and a lager shandy for the wife which was priced as expected and ordered food Wife had the Lasagne off the specials board which she loved and I the Gammon steak which was also delicious. 4 pints and the meals came to around £39 and thoroughly recommend a visit. Dave and Jo from Swindon."

Second stay at the golden lion and cannot fault it one bit. Great location, welcoming staff, outstanding food, and a comfortable modern room. Will definitely be back!

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was amazing, and the best part was all the local dogs in the pub! This is definitely our kind of place. We're from Washington, D.C., and we highly recommend the Golden Lion Hotel to everyone!

Excellent and well thought out family room. Arrived late evening so just had some light starters from the bar menu, was very good. As was the breakfast. No noise from the pub as the rooms were well set back. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Highly recommended. J&K Billingham. Speisekarte ansehen

I visited on Saturday, July 8th, and was unable to book a table, but I managed to find a spot at the bar. I enjoyed a delicious meal of fish and chips, as well as a Thai green curry. Both dishes were flavorful and served hot with a smile. The bar staff and servers were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place!

had a wonderful afternoon here today, we never booked, but we were not turned away. the young girl behind the bar was really nice, we got a table, ordered our food and were served immediately. the food was introduced and as good as it looked. we had two dogs on our party who were best received with fresh water and tasty. we will definitely be very soon and have already recommended them to friends.
