Sarah looked after us today, she was very helpful and didn’t rush us. This is the second time I have been to the hawk with in as many weeks. The food is excellent , I would highly recommend the hawk .

a beautiful pub with great food. the service, although very friendly, was however very slow in the arrival. we waited twenty minutes before someone came to our table to see if we wanted a drink. it was fifty minutes before we got our first teller. a main course and dessert lasted two hours.

This was a family dinner, we all really enjoyed the fire, so we stayed there for our dinner. The food was nice but a little pricey for what it was fish and chips! But the service made up for that. I will be returning for a Christmas lunch with people who don’t mind paying for good service. Thank you Speisekarte ansehen

We couldn’t fault this restaurant Menu varied, good and unusual Food excellent Door greeting staff very friendly and efficient Service and waiting staff outstanding especially Callum who served us Loved the great spacing between tables particularly as we were a table of 2 which are normally situated far too close to the next table. Will def be back

Anna, our waitress, was excellent as we had two very elderly relatives with us and she looked after us exceptionally well with kindness and humour. Sea bass was lovely and the chicken tasty but the fish cakes, although piping hot, with a nice crunchy exterior and nicely flavoured were very runny when you cut into them and had little substance. Creme Brulee and Eton Mess were lovely desserts. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff.

Was really looking forward to eating here today after popping in for a mid week drink .. was so disappointed my husband had the fish cakes which were very small I had the cod chips as to be honest there wasn’t anything else on the menu I wanted .. not a great choice of starters or mains .. it was ok … my husband had apple blackberry crumble which was so small it looked like a sample … when I told the waitress she was apologetic as he’d been given a mini one not the one ordered which she deducted from the bill … lovely place great staff but disappointed with the food Speisekarte ansehen
