The Highworth - Speisekarte

This is a great spot to enjoy drinks with friends, but it would be better if they reverted back to the name Jesmond. Service and location both receive a rating of 5.

Went for Afternoon Tea. Service was good and the afternoon tea was pretty good. Felt the scones were a little hard and crunchy. I was appreciative of the staff talking care of my food request. Service: 4 Location: 3

I went to this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night and had a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and always available. The food was amazing! Luckily, we live close by so we will definitely be returning. Overall rating: Service 5, Location 5. Speisekarte ansehen

I haven't stayed there so can't review, but I'm sure by the customer service an how lovely the place is, I'm sure the stay would be perfect. Good outside garden space, nice an tidy inside. Clean toilets an very friendly staff. Drinks a bit expensive but that fine when you get this sort of service an clean environment. Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value

Pleased to say that our first visit to The Highworth since the change of Management in December ? was really enjoyable The staff were friendly and welcoming and service attentive. We spotted one or two changes in the usual menu but actually chose from the special vegan menu a delicious squash and leek risotto. Looking forward to trying new creations in the future

I cannot speak on the accommodations since I only attended a funeral tea, but the staff at the restaurant were friendly and the food was exceptional. There was a wide variety of options to choose from and the portions were generous. The restaurant's location, directly across from the church, was convenient. The car park had a very narrow access, so it is best to fold in your wing mirrors if you have a wider vehicle. However, there is on-street parking available nearby. What a gorgeous afternoon tea treat for my friends birthday! The selection was amazing, cream cheese and cucumber, egg mayonnaise and cress sandwiches a delightful coronation chicken bap plus a tasty sausage roll. The scone with jam and cream along with a beautiful selection of cakes including a lemon and blackcurrant posset were simply irresistible. The staff were just so lovely, friendly and helpful and our pot of tea, never empty! Pretty and immaculately kept rustic rooms and decor just enhanced the experience even more. Thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at The Highworth Hotel and cannot wait to go back, would highly recommend. Rooms: Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean and tidy

Good town centre location situated by a relatively busy junction but does have a light controlled pedestrian crossing. Very narrow entrance through archway/passage to rear car park. Could only just get our Corsa through and you would need to fold in your mirrors for a slightly wider car. Anything much wider than an Astra/Focus would be risky or impossible depending on your driving skills. Plenty of street parking nearby though. Interesting old building with lots of nooks, crannies and corridors. I did not see any lifts so might be worth checking if required. PLEASE NOTE, we only visited the hotel for a funeral tea so cannot comment on the rooms or an overnight or extended stay. Excellent ser...

Had Afternoon Tea here with a friend. Plenty of parking at back, thro a very narrow entrance to the right of the front door as you look at hotel. Table all ready when we arrived, warm and welcoming staff. Room well set out eith plenty of space between tables. Choice of tea and free top ups always good with an afternoon tea. Great choice of sandwiches, with homemade coronation chicken as a filling, for a nice change a sausage roll as well. Warm scones, cream jam. And gorgeous cakes. The right amount of food, all fresh made at hotel. Staff friendly and no feeling of being rushed ,invited to take our time and offers of top up for tea pots.
