Good portions of typical pub Sunday dinner, cooked well and not dried out. Waiting staff didn 't really know what beers they had on or if they had mustard (bless 'em) but we didn 't have to wait long for drinks or food so it did the trick for us today. Lovely old tradition pub with a proper fire!! Stopped off on our way home from Whitby and both had Steak Ale pie and chips. The pie was amazing, nice beefy steak and ale gravy under a flaky pastry crust. And big fat crispy homemade chips...perfect. We were served by a lovely polite young waitress, who came back halfway through our meal to check everything was OK. We hadn't booked a table, and it was busy but they were able to fit us in. They allow motorhomes over night and it's in a great area for walks. Dog friendly in the bar area.
