"This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a brief stay. The views are amazing, the evening meal is delicious and reasonably priced, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. The room was clean and I would definitely stay here again. It was a lovely walk to Lathkil Dale without having to drive anywhere. The rooms, service, and location all receive 5 stars. The highlights of the hotel are the great view, romantic atmosphere, and peaceful surroundings."

This fantastic pub has welcoming staff and serves delicious local Harrington ales. The stunning view alone makes it worth a visit. It also has a fascinating history as the original "M" in MI6.

After a blistering hot walk as hot in Peaks as south of France today the Lathkil was perfect. Shade. An excellent BLT. Pint of pale ale and lime n soda. Cold water for the dog. Rehydration all round. Lovely. Location: 5

The terrace offers great opportunities for dining. The buffet style lunch had a variety of 5 or 6 hot dishes to choose from, along with a salad bar and a selection of desserts. Love the place, didn't stay but did eat outside. Really nice food and friendly bar staff to chat to. Idilic location situated on go of a hill overlooking the lathkill valley which is picturesque. We visited as part of a tour checking out several historic pubs in Derbyshire and it was nice to visit the Lathkil and get a feel for the history of the place.
