Well worth the visit. It's a bit out of the way but the scenery getting there is worth it. Lovely choice of food, all local. BYOB is a definite advantage. Lovely staff. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic family restaurant with a bring-your-own-bottle policy! Don't let its location in one of the more rural areas of the island discourage you from visiting. Positioned right by the sea, it boasts some of the best views around. The menu changes every few weeks and primarily features local ingredients. This restaurant offers a very comfortable atmosphere and is conveniently situated on a main street. We had a pleasant dinner experience, thanks to the friendly and efficient service provided by the two women managing the dining room. The food was outstanding; it featured a simple concept, but everything was well-prepared, reminiscent of a home-cooked meal. I ordered the slow-baked beef, while others at my table enjoyed lamb, salmon, and cod—all of which were delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking hearty, comforting food.

I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed a delightful baked potato accompanied by a fresh salad. The salad dressing was exquisite, made from the chef's own recipe, as we were informed. The evening menu appeared fantastic, featuring a variety of local produce. For dessert, I had a scrumptious lemon tart. A very friendly woman served us throughout our visit. Don’t let the roadworks on the bridge deter you; there is parking available between the two sets of traffic lights, and we were able to fit our 7.1m motorhome there without any issues. Just a note: there are currently roadworks in the area, and parking can be found between the traffic lights.

Our coach group was allowed access to a closed for the cafe the afternoon, where soup and sandwiches were available. A rare treat for most, but for myself I skipped lunch to explore the small village of Pirnmill. From the picture attached, I found a large stone to add to my collection from around the world. There is also a stream here, a nice surprise for me as it is the first time I've discovered the end flowing into the sea, liken to the end of a rainbow. There is also a beautiful war memorial garden, which I imagine the many hitchhikers have stopped at and sat down to remember. Ideal place to stop for a bite to eat or a meal. The food and service was fantastic from start to finish. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating options, on our visit inside the restaurant there were two couples and outside there were cyclists and people with dogs. We were accommodated on this occasion when we stopped as we had no prior planning on this location. On arrival we noticed the reserved plaque on tables, so if you are planning to pass this fab restaurant and want to make sure there is a table available you can book ahead.
