"We went to Farrington Park with some vouchers that were about to expire and we selected the steak night. We chose the sirloin steaks for £30 for 2 but we were not told that they were peppered steaks. They were very heavily covered in pepper and I could eat mine but my wife had to scrape the pepper off as best she could. My wife did say to the waitress that it was too peppery for her and she said she was sorry. Everything else was absolutely fine with the dining experience, the steak was cooked to perfection and the taste was lovely, just beware if you don't like too much pepper tell the waitress when you order!"

On Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was not in good condition with dirty wet wipe cloths. The fish cake was dry and tasted store-bought. The waitress apologized without offering a solution. The roasted carrots and parsnips were undercooked and lacked flavor. The cheese sauce on the flower cabbage was watery. The sausage in the bread was mediocre at best. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience.

I went to dinner on Sunday with a group of school friends, which has been a tradition for over 40 years and is always special to us. The restaurant was quite busy with large Christmas parties, creating a festive atmosphere. The girls who ordered the roast beef found it tough and very rare, which dampened their spirits. I had turkey with another friend and found it enjoyable. My only criticism was that the gravy was overly salty, which was disappointing. Overall, we had a pleasant time, but the food could have been better.
