The Old Chequers - Speisekarte

A friend and I called in to try one of Angies steaks last night. We both enjoyed them and will be back to try out the 16oz steak later. Well done Angie as the saying goes!!

Popped in for a steak on Steak Night, excellent effort. Cooked to perfection (medium rare) with all of the extras on the side. Quality food, and a very reasonable price! Thank you very much!

Very saddened to hear that Angie will no longer be running the kitchen. Her food was amazing, and customer service was also excellent, won't be the same without Angie there safe to say I will not be eating there anymore

Very disappointed to hear that Angie will no longer be running the kitchen at the Chequers in Thatcham. Her food there was beyond excellent and she was always willing to go far and beyond to please her customers and was very welcoming to all. Sad to see that she has gone.

Came in for steak night, and it was amazing! One of the best steaks I have had! Angie asked how I wanted my steak and it was cooked to perfection, will definitely be back. So nice to see a restaurant in Thatcham which does a wide variety of high quality food. Thankyou so much Speisekarte ansehen

I initially stopped by for a quiet drink, but it seems that the establishment has undergone some changes. It now offers food and transforms into a lively disco with loud music and bright lights after 10pm, making it difficult to have a conversation. It's not a place my friends or I would choose to revisit after 10pm.

I went to the restaurant for a meal, but there was no food available. They were overcharging people for drinks. I saw a man dealing drugs to a scared blonde guy out back. The staff witnessed this but still allowed them to book a table for football tonight. It looks like it will be an eventful night for those willing to risk a raid during COVID. Enjoy at your own risk.

I have dined at this restaurant a few times, but the new owners, Colin and Michelle, have something special when it comes to the food that is served. I ordered a BLT with salad for him, and the most amazing fish finger sandwich I have ever had, accompanied by a lovely side salad. Absolutely fabulous. I cannot wait for my next visit, you should definitely give them a try. Speisekarte ansehen
