"Excellent and attentive service. Friday night and the place was busy with great atmosphere. Drinks were reasonable with bottle of nice house wine for 13£. Huge menu, food was hearty pub fare and you can see the new management is stepping it up with good quality ingredients and taste. Bill was £41 for beer, bottle wine, steak and fish n chips, amazing value for money. Great local pub."

Party of three had rump steak, fish and chips and scampi and chips on Sunday. All three were very pleased with their meals -especially the steak. Very good value. The service was exceptional. Highly recommended

We were looking for fish and chips to take with us and eat on seafront . Saw the Old Plough and thought we'd eat here and have a drink. We had the 2 course menu for £10.99. Couldn't fault it. Freshly cooked hot food. Good atmosphere. Thanks.

"Sadly this was a disappointment, having arrived slightly early for a table than booked, we were shown to a table in the back corridor with poor lighting and no atmosphere despite the restaurant having plenty of good space left. We were not given the a la carte menu which we wanted and received zero service after 10 minutes so we got up and left."

"we were stable of 4 for lunch and it was lovely. Quite a simple menu with all the old Pub lunch favourites; Having noticed some delicious plates coming from the kitchen with very generous portions, we opted for the Soup and Sub menu which comprised of homemade Soup of the day (broccoli and stilton) and a sub roll . The choice of subs was excellent with 2 or 3 vegetarian options as well as about 6 or 7 mainstream choices, The birthday girl chose Fish gluons with tartare sauce and lettuce, the rest of us could not resist the Buffalo chicken tenders with shredded lettuce and blue cheese dressing. All of us were impressed with the size of the subs which were crammed full of the fillings. The soup was fabulous delicately flavoured with stilton and fresh with broccoli. No room for dessert, in fact 2 of us were offered doggy-bags to take home the half of the sub we couldn 't finish. Reasonably priced ales from local Brewers."

I would rate the food and service a perfect 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere a solid 4. I would highly recommend trying the Chicken Burger and Salad."
