Well folks, I turned out of Salisbury to find myself in Porton. The Old Railway hotel is under new ownership. I've just eaten the most delicious, lightest vegetable curry/soup. With Fluffy onion bargee. Hubby had light flavourful birhiani. We polished the lot off. I'm wheat intolerant and the chef made sure I had the right food. Can't rate this place highly enough. All you have to do is walk through the door. It's worth it. Service: 5 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value

Lovely little hotel close to Salisbury, Old Sarum and 30 minutes from Stonehenge. Friendly welcome and service. Nice room, not very big, but very comfortable. Nice bed and good shower. In the garden you can enjoy a drink and of course enjoy an excellent and varied dinner. Due to a lack of staff, there was no breakfast, no problem, there is always coffee in the room! Recommended! Rooms: Beautiful rooms, equipped with all amenities. Wonderful bed and nice bathroom. Food drinks: Good restaurant and great pub. In the garden next door you can enjoy a drink and ultimately dinner.
