Great meal with fresh, seasonal dishes, friendly service and a nice variety of options for all different tastes and ages! Would really recommend!

Be careful! We missed booking due to my 84 year old mum falling asleep charged £40. Bit steep! Understand there is a business to run but sour taste left and I’ll vote with my feet never be back.

A lovely venue for a date, we were tourists trying to get off the beaten track a little. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. I particularly loved my crispy duck salad starter the flavours and the presentation. Highly recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

Our experience at The Olive Branch was delightful. The staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating. The ambiance was calming and peaceful. The food was tasty. Additionally, we had a table by the window with a view of the bustling street. We will definitely return in the future.

Met up with friends, sat outside. I had the full Scottish and it was great haggis, black pudding, fried egg, mushrooms, tattie scone, sausage and bacon. The sausages were completely tasteless but everything else was delicious and I can highly recommend a fry up here. Service was efficient and friendly and it’s in a great location.

Been here a couple of time, the steak sandwich with peppercorn sauce is cooked to perfection, cannot fault it. We also had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, was ok, strange pricing structure where 2 pancakes and 3 rashers of bacon and syrup is £12 one of the most expensive items on the the menu. Really nice bistro with friendly staff and well prepared tasty food. Coffee was very good too. The bigger breakfast was spot on and they make excellent scrambled eggs. My wife had avocado on toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs. Around £30 for two including £2.75 service charge already added to the bill. Good value for quality food.

After a long day exploring the sights of Edinburgh, we stumbled upon The Olive Branch on our way back to our Airbnb. Despite the bustling atmosphere, we were warmly greeted by the two hostesses who promptly seated us, served us drinks, and took our order. They even moved us to a lovely table by the window as our food was being prepared. The meal was delicious and we were impressed that they accommodated us without a reservation. We would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant.

We made a last-minute reservation at the Olive Branch for our final night in Edinburgh since it was close to our vacation rental flat, and I'm so glad we did! The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, the meals were absolutely amazing, and the cocktails were delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The only minor issue was that they didn't have any pink or flavored gin, but that certainly wouldn't make me deduct a star. I would love to visit again...it's just a shame that I live 5 hours away!
