"Hadn 't been here for years and it was a lovely evening. Served by a very lovely (American) lady who was so friendly and happy to help! The menu was beautiful and tough decision to make but I settled for the Pork Belly with ginger and udon noodles delicious! Pork melted in the mouth and the flavours from the ginger and shallots with the noodles were beautiful. My friend had the sea bream and the colours from the accompanying salad were gorgeous! Onto dessert, my friends both had the cheesecake from the specials that looked stunning and I had the rhubarb crumble . Unfortunately the crumble was not great more rhubarb cement as the crumble could have broken a tooth however the sorbet that went with it was absolutely gorgeous and the rhubarb was sweetened just right, so all was not lost. All round a lovely evening, good food and excellent service, topped off with Edinburgh playing ball and giving us a lovely sunset!"

Cosy, relaxed dining in a lively ambience. Good value for money, especially the wine list- small but varied , interesting and not overly priced. Menu diverse and interesting, food beautifully prepared and presented. All in all a lovely evening.

First time here despite being quite local but will certainly be back. Menu range is great my Orkney Scallop starter and lamb main were really good and lovely presentation; sharing cheese board was a great way to finish. For such wonderful food the wine list felt a little limited but that is a small point. As an aside, in an area where most places seem to stop serving well before 9, it was great to enjoy later dining

My friend and I arrived close to closing time having been delayed at the talk we attended. Carina and Amy were wonderful, welcomed us in nevertheless, gave a quick choice of menu from which we chose very quickly, it arrived within minutes, was quite delicious and we are now both fans of The Olive Branch forever and will recommend it far and wide. It was first class hospitality with these two girls setting a very high standard of how it should happen.

Last minute Booking and was fortunate to get a table here for early Dinner. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and booked our table for two, I promptly received the text confirming the booking . The Olive branch was just a few mins walk from our hotel ,so was very convenient as we were tired out from our day around the city The menu was perfect for what we needed a good choice of starters mains and dessert. The food was really tasty and clearly freshly made . Staff were warm and welcoming. All in a really nice experience. We would definitely visit again if back in Edinburgh .
