"what a sound! randomly chose a pub near the m3 and came over this jewel. three decent real ales like, really decent real ales. and a pub that makes sandwiches! these are almost a full meal in themselves and are of the highest quality. nothing seems to be too much annoying for the bar staff. we came with the old elders and we were pleased that the pub is designed for wheelchairs (and disabled parking)."

We came down to take part in the great south run and are staying for a week. Found The Otter pub by chance and had an amazing meal. Definitely going to squeeze in another visit before we go home.

very pleasant old art pub with friendly staff and absolutely excellent eating at a reasonable price. it is worth going the small piece further out of the city center to reach it. it would recommend for families as well as there is a large grass area with tables on the back.

It's so nice to go to a proper pub where the staff are really friendly and welcoming, the food is home-cooked and the ale is delicious! Whenever we have taken friends there for something to eat or just a few drinks, they always comment on what a great pub it is. Marvellous! : :
