"Fantastic place with exceptional staff. I brought my 5 year old daughter and 4 year old niece for a fairy and mermaid princess afternoon tea. They were met and welcomed at the door as ‘real’ princesses with balloons and a twist to the food to suit their age. Needless to say they went home happy, full of cake and sandwiches. The staff and manager made their day."

I just enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee for £2.20. I don't understand why people choose to take away from Costa when they could sit in a wonderful café and enjoy real cream. Thank you! Speisekarte ansehen

"This is by far one of the best pubs we have ever eaten at. The chef creates delicious homemade dishes, even the vegan options are unusual and outstanding. "We visited here recently as we have heard good things about it….I think we were the only customers when we visited as it was early so the atmosphere was a bit quiet. The food was very tasty and the customer service was very good. I...had the belly pork and my husband had the brisket rolls…both were delicious. We then both selected the madras lamb shank with Bombay potatoes ….we thoroughly enjoyed! All the staff were attentive and friendly. I think our only criticism might be the price of a glass of red wine was which was certainly more expensive than most of the other places we usually visit in Cowbridge…."

"Went for lunch on a Thursday lunchtime (wedding anniversary as it happens). Nice relaxed ambience inside. Waitresses were helpful and not in your face. We had the sandwich, which is a flatbread (using pizza dough) which is split and filled with ham, salad, mozzarella etc, and comes with chips, plus a salad. We shared the two dishes and had a medium glass of rosé each. I had an espresso to finish. Portion sizes were more than enough for lunch. I'd like to try their pizzas in the evening, as the bread for the sandwich was terrific."

"I found the pumpkin picking experience to be disappointing compared to other places I've visited. It costs £18.50 for two cars just to enter and explore, and on top of that, you have to pay separately for the pumpkins. Although we came equipped with wellies and waterproof gear, the ground was extremely muddy. The play area was particularly bad; it was so muddy that the little ones were struggling to walk and kept getting stuck and falling over. It’s honestly not worth the hassle of cleaning the pushchair and car afterward. The play area itself was quite underwhelming as well. Overall, there are definitely better pumpkin patches out there for the price."

"There was an impressive selection of children's meals with generous portions, and for just five pounds, the meal included a drink as well. Jackie even brought out a little hard bread for my daughter to try with her sausages, even though it wasn't on the menu, which was a thoughtful touch. The food I saw being served looked like large portions and was beautifully presented. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. I will definitely return, both with and without my children. The excellent service and friendly atmosphere make this place a must-visit, and I would recommend it to everyone!"
