Absolutely fabulous food. Great value for money. Highly recommended, will definitely be returning. Staff very friendly and accommodating, dog friendly with free treats.

We went for an evening meal on a Tuesday. All staff were very polite and welcoming, and we accidentally stumbled into ‘steak night’, which was a very fair price for what we had. The food was delicious and if we were ever in the area again, would 100% return.

We visited as we’d stayed on the campsite next door. Food was lovely, staff friendly and reasonably priced. The home cooked chips are spot on. Kids meals are generous portions unlike some places. Service was nice and efficient too and you could tell it was freshly cooked. I’d recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

This pub/restaurant is fantastic. I visited last night and found out that it has recently been taken over. I had a wonderful evening with delicious and reasonably priced food, a wide selection of beers and real ales, and friendly staff. There was also a great blues band playing in the main bar, and the volume was just right. I plan on returning for their Sunday roast, and I believe it will be a great spot for a casual mid-week drink too. Thank you, landlord!

We made the mistake of camping at a nearby caravan site called Hogsdown Caravan Park and had to leave because of the unreasonable owners. We walked to a charming pub and were amazed by the delicious food and the friendly staff and customers. Visiting this pub truly enhanced our holiday experience and we look forward to returning to the area in the future. Thank you for making our day. A note to others: avoid the nearby caravan site Hogsdown if you want to have a good time.

Our recent dining experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing compared to our previous visit in June, where we had a delicious meal. The starters were overcooked and dry, with very few prawns in the prawn cocktail served in a small dish with no presentation or bread. The main courses suffered from the same issues, being dry and overcooked. The waiting staff seemed inexperienced and lacked proper serving etiquette. They also seemed unaware of the menu changes, as Tuesdays were no longer steak night as advertised. Overall, we were very disappointed and do not plan to return unless there are significant improvements in the future.

We called here as we were looking for a home cooked pub meal after arriving back at our holiday cottage in Uley after a day out. Wow! This did not disappoint. Tuesday night is steak night here and on recommendation one of us had the rump steak which was absolutely beautiful and so tender, like butter with a side of onion rings and peppercorn sauce which were stunning and the perfect partners to the steak. The meal was gorgeous and at a very reasonable price too. The lasagne and ham, egg and chips were also ordered by the others and both were beautiful, with the lasagne being home made too. Found the Pepper Pot on our last night staying in the Cotswolds and I wish we had found it earlier. What an absolute gem of a country pub. If you are looking for a traditional country inn with a great atmosphere and fantastic food then this is the spot. The owner Andy and his family are so friendly and welcoming you feel like a regular. To add to the family vibes we had the absolute pleasure of meeting the mum Bev who was helping her family out for the week, she is a real character and one of the warmest people you could hope to meet.
