"We had a lovely lunch last Saturday meeting up with my partner’s uncle and his wife. Need to book this place in advance as it’s on the covid guidelines and social distance with wearing masks when not seated for food. We had the carvery sets as well as the day’s special of crispy chicken burger. Carvery was with generous portion and you’ve to tick on a sheet on what you’ll like to have plated as the staff will bring them to you. No lamb though only beef and pork but it’s still good. Desserts were amazing and I had lemon cheesecake with champagne sorbet, absolutely yummy! Great place for family, couples or business dining."

Stopped here for Sunday lunch and watched the grand prix in a party of Food was nicely cooked and presented, I had the Fish and Chips and it was great. Service was good and all Covid protocols were in place and being adhered to. Would recommend to others.

I am a coeliac, so I miss many good food menus when they visit other restaurants, but they can always rely on the pheasant, it is coeliac uk approved, so that I always trust eating there, they are fish and chips are excellent! and today was no...exception also thank you for their very good service and attention to our table.

Return visit as visitors to the area. Another excellent carvery, with choice of 3 meats and appropriate sauces. Tender, tasty meat, especially the beef. Last time we had the large and were defeated, so went for the standard this time the only real difference...is the amount of meat you still pile on as much veg as you want/can. Good, friendly service. Large car park.

had carvery, in the week, the turkey ran out at 7 just like we arrived. quantity- yes quality no gravy no taste- easy brown water from a package. roasted potatoes grey and dry. meat okay. Previously, it was better than if they just gave up....Overall-sehr poor-wons did not return, which is a scandal, how chippenham really lacks good earring places. go to bath for a decent restaurant.

You need to wear very warm clothes here. It was very cold despite staff saying the heating was on full blast. I know people keep going in and out when it's very cold outside didnt help the situation. My plate wasn't hot and neither was...the food. The cauliflower cheese had no sauce and the parsnips werent cooked. The onions and carvery meat were lovely as was my starter. So needed a cup of tea to warm up. I heard its a bit of a hit and miss experience and this was a miss evening.

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."

"We had a tremendously good lunch here today-the food was quite delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful-I’d say it’s probably one of the best lunches I’ve had in quite some time….so to give you a clue we both had the pork-this sounded really lovely and we were not disappointed-pork belly, tenderloin,a faggot and a ham hock croquet with mashed potato and roasted cauliflower with a delicious jus and a slice of pickled apple( which I ate immediately with a piece of pork and when the waiter came to ask how our lunch was I asked if he could possibly get me another piece-which he did For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brûlée which came with a passion fruit sorbet and some chocolate soil…..the focaccia we had at the start of the meal was superb and the coffee was also excellent -we do enjoy both cooking and eating-one of life’s pleasures and it’s abundantly clear the chef absolutely loves food too-a great display of cooking books from the greats sort of got me thinking it would be a good lunch…….also worth noting the drinks menu-some lovely wines, soft drinks and cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I finished off with a mocha which was hot chocolatey but not too sweet. Bradford on Avon is most definitely worth a visit and I’d say you would be foolish to miss out on a great experience if you didn’t also pop in to the bunch of grapes for some sustenance while there… Thanks for lunch and as Arnie says “ we’ll be back”….."
