Been there for Dinner with family. Very friendly stuff, delicious food, nice place to stay. We all did enjoy it.

My partner I went for a meal on a Wednesday evening it was 6pm the place was empty. I ordered fish chips my partner the steak kidney pie. Waited about 40 minutes before the meals arrived my fish was over done...

Absolutely beautiful quirky place, what it lacks in mod cons it makes up for in character. Food is big and fantastic. Steak and Kidney pudding to die for! A brisk mile walk from the centre of Rye highly recommended

Excellent, the staff are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to make sure you are satisified. The food choices are many and very very tasty, superbly cooked, delicious. Spotlessly clean, nothing was too much trouble.

This was a disappointing evening meal. We were seated in what was a courtyard, but it was dirty, with an empty waste bin and bag hanging out just a yard of so away from our table, a brook leaning on it although the area was...

As we were staying here we decided to have dinner too. Service was good, staff all very friendly. Starter of local asparagus with poached egg was nice, main meals of cheeseburger chicken special very good. Generous portion sizes.

Wonderful cosy restaurant, very atmospheric. Great menu and daily specials all cooked to perfection and really tasty. Not too posh but certainly not bland or boring, large servings of deliciousness. Well priced and service was spot on.

We dined in the area that is set aside for those with dogs. The service was excellent. The food was tasty and plentiful. I would highly recommend the chicken or steak pie. The menu is traditional but there is enough choice to cater for all tastes. We enjoyed our meals in there.

The menu is full of lovely classics. My favourite was the steak kidney pudding. Huge portions. It was so good we ate both nights. We left Sunday lunchtime but seeing the beautiful roast dinners being served we will definitely make sure we stay for one on our next visit. Service was good. The owner Kim is very much hands on and she has a lovely team of friendly staff too.
