We love walking here with our dog, especially now the top coffee bar has reopened. Big shock is that they now charge an extra 40p for alternative milks. I’ll take my own in future

Stunning setting, not been for quite a while. Had a light lunch in the cafe, which was very tasty. The cakes looked amazing but didn't indulge. Lovely garden centre, with lots of gifts. Will be returning

Another great visit to bayview. The breakfast great value and so tasty, staff always friendly and helpful..the shop is great for those different gifts and the garden centre getting all set for the season. Speisekarte ansehen

I had another wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food is delicious and obviously made fresh. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place, and don't forget to check out the plant and shop area as well.

I live in the village so have seen the improvements made in recent years. Lovely simple well presented food. Good coffee and a nice shop and garden centre to mooch round. But it’s the view of the lakes mountains across the bay and the staff who make this place. Table service means fewer queues and all the staff are kind, helpful and generally lovely. Long may it’s success continue.

The service at this restaurant was practically non-existent. Customers are expected to signal staff when they are ready to order, but the employees seemed more focused on their tablets or chatting among themselves. It took almost 3 hours to have lunch, and there was little assistance with navigating the menu. It felt as though we were an inconvenience. We have recently moved into the area and have discovered Bay View Garden Centre/restaurant where we are now regular visitors. We have found the service in the restaurant to be excellent and the food tastes great. The staff can't do enough for you and from what we have seen, they constantly keep themselves busy and also seem happy in their work which is a great testament to the owners of Bay View Garden Centre. Looking forward to our next visit.

We love Bay View café, and are regular customers, but were shocked to learn on our last visit that we are now being charged an extra 40p for oat milk (or any alternative milk). As all my family are dairy intolerant this adds a considerable amount to the cost. It is almost a form of discrimination. We can’t understand the thinking as Oat, Soya and almond milk cost the same (if not less) than cows milk and last much longer. We used to tell our dairy free or vegan friends that Bay View are great for alternative milk choices but not for the 40p premium. This will certainly make us think twice about calling in for coffee. Or I will just bring my own in future.

We arrived at a good time and saw a window view table which we asked to sit at. The lady at the entrance said we couldn’t sit there yet as it wasn’t ready . We said we didn’t mind but she said ‘ oh no you can’t possibly sit down until it’s ready ‘ Ok, but we’d been standing a while and needed a rest . Once seated the view was excellent for us. We ordered a tea cake ,a piece of cake and two coffees . The coffees were small for a medium, and the cake was soggy underneath . I asked for more butter. After 5 mins it still hadn’t arrived so I went to get some myself .later the waitress passed by so I grabbed her to tell her I’d got some. There was no apology of ‘ Sorry I forgot’ but she dismissed... Speisekarte ansehen
