"Fantastic Establishment. I drop in to the Queens Head just for a beer. So glad l did, what a breath of fresh air so different from the norm! Lovely welcome, one of the owners, the Landlady even helped me find a parking place and l recieved a really nice welcome. I was asked my name and when l got inside l was introduced to the an equally welcoming group of regulars. I have now returned 4 times and l am more than happy to become a regular. There are a number of local and National beers and ciders on offer. All are extremely well kept and served by helpful and welcoming team.. The Landlady certainly knows her beers and is so knowledgable and enthusiastic about local and National Beers and Ciders. The Queens Head is like the Tardis with various rooms all individually and tastefully furnished. There is also a large well kept Garden with plenty of tables. The food offering is also different from the Norm and offers the odd fish dishe, all nicely cooked and well presented. Price wise the Queens Head is certainly very competitive to anywhere local. I live Locally and have experience a number of local hostelrese. A couple of these are fine. However if l am honest, The Queens Head will take some beating. Such a great on going experience. Regular entertainment and food themed evening. From Friday 21st until Sunday 24 September 2023. With over 25 crafted Ciders and beers. Again local and national Breweris will be represented. Sorry about this lengthy review, but the Queens head certainly deserves it. Obviously you will need to visit to enjoy the experience. I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. Dennis"

Gorgeous pub with fantastic food and exceptionally warm and welcoming. Visited with our teenagers and dog. Very dog friendly. A real gem of a find.

beautiful pub with a lot of space for those who are aware of social disintegration. good vegan options that we all enjoyed on the menu, and the personal was really helpful to discuss our different requirements.

Yet another amazing meal at this gem of a restaurant! The food never disappoints an excellent selection all of which is exceptional quality and delivered with some of the best customer service we have ever received. Definitely worth a visit if you love your food!

We called in for lunch with a client. We ordered fish and chips. Perhaps the worst we have ever eaten. Miserable piece of fish with soggy batter, really weird peas and disappointing chips. Very expensive. The client was polite but I suspect just that. On the bright side the staff were great.

We enjoyed a GREAT lunch here just before Christmas . Staying locally, we wanted to try the local pub for a meal, and it was just excellent. A very warm and friendly welcome from the staff, great menu choices, all cooked really well. Thank you to the team at the Queens Head we look forward to our next visit

there are many vegetarian options and a few vegan options here. eating is really nice and the portions are generous. I had the confit garlic and lemon houmous to start with flatbread and the falafel burger with chips for main. amazing search for vegan in a small rural village! the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is very friendly.

I wrote a review over a Month ago after my first vist. Since then l must admit to frequenting the Queens Head for often than her in doors would like!! The Queens Head is infectious, so be warned!! In a good way. Exceptional young staff very efficient, polite and welcoming. I have now eaten here on three occasions now and already booked for futer events, themed evening. My wife and l have very much enjoyed our three meals that we thourerly enjoyed. This included Sunday Lunch and a excellent Fish Night that offered a platter of a selection to Fresh Fish and Sea Food. This is a regular event and is held on the last Friday of each Month. Sorry for my over excitement, visit and you will experienc...

A lovely setting and a good range of dishes to choose from. The main courses were lovely, including the slow cooked beef, chicken supreme and soup. These all tasted great. Nobody in our group of five had any complaints. The location is a lovely setting, with a log burner and contemporary meets traditional ambiance in the bar and restaurant. This was well balanced. I found it to be a tad expensive. Including, £16.50 for a quiche £18.75 for a chicken supreme. I appreciate that prices are more than just the meal themselves, but still when all things are considered, I found that these prices raised expectations too much and led me to cut back on drinks. A few areas which prevented a five star re...

Really disappointing visit. We booked on Friday for 7 people at 6:30pm Saturday evening. I suggested this pub as we came a number of tiles 19 years ago and loved it.We were seated and another table of 9/10 seated after us.They were given priority maybe locals) , we are from Southwold, not seen as locals. We looked at the menu one on the website) and we were really disappointed that the beef dish was all sold out. This is poor organisation on behalf of the management. I heard the young male waiter tell the table of 9 that there were only 4 main menu burgers left and we asked him to book these out for our guests. We then panicked and asked him what else was low and he replied that the beef was ne...

"Sunday of our recent visit to aldeburgh was the Mother's Day and we welcomed the opportunity to taste the afternoon tea in the white lion hotel in adleburgh. the conditoir chef at the white lion is anmar odendal, an award-winning wedding cake designer. by her business crumb, she was recognized in 2013 by the high-time industry as the best wedding cake designer in the eastern englands. Our afternoon tea was florally inspired and included a selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries with a selection of tea, a glass champagne and a little pot flowers for mama, all at an incredible price of £20. it was overexamination good value and hard to think that we could get so much for so little. in a comparable iondon establishment would cost a afternoon as this probably at least £35 to £40. the selection of the fingersandwiches was delicious and included standard fillings such as gurke, sink, ei and water circles. the scenes were quite seductive, as they presented us an appealing texture. the outer was crispy and the interieur was soft. warm stuffed, the scones went floating with the dipped cream and delicious homemade skyberry jam. to the sweet things (my favorite part of a afternoon,) and on the top level of the tablet there were some beautiful pink meringue sandwiches lined with rosen water chantilly cream. these were delicate and as light as spring, and the combination with the cream was a good one. also on the top level was a zesty orange flower and vanille panna cotta sown with Indian orange blossom water and with fresh orange cest, popping sweets and a berry jelly. the jelly was particularly delicious as he was very fruity and helped to lift the panna cotta. the popping sweets was also a good note and gave the panna cotta an exciting twist. the panna cotta itself had a good consistency, but needed a little more vanilla for more taste. to move on the floor, and we really enjoyed the dark chocolate breweries as these were decadent and rich with an intense chocolate-y quality. the lavender sprocket was buttery and light, and the homemade makkarons of beet root and berry with a vanilla buttercream frosting filling were very welcoming. the macaron dishes were a little dense in the texture, but the taste combinations were a joy and were a joy to eat. a pistachio viktoriaschwamm came with a fabulous rose blossom jam center that really lifted the sponge with its sweet and exciting nature. it was a wonderful combination, and the sponge itself had a nice taste, although it was a touch dry. the themes for the afternoon tea on the white lion will change with the time as chef anmar constantly seeks new ideas and brings colorful inventions to the table. but is sure that every afternoon tee will be very pleasant. unique, colorful and funny, the pastries we tried were inviting to eat and showed solid technology. her creativity demonstrated the artistic and originality in her design. the sandwiches and skorn were also very good, and at a ridiculously reasonable price of £20 per head, the white lion showed that it is doing really well in the afternoon. I calculate today afternoon tee with 3.75/5"
