The Red Lion - Speisekarte

One of the best pubs I’ve been to in a while. Everything was 5*, food was gorgeous and service was outstanding. Staff were really attentive, didn’t have to ask for anything as they were on it. Best service I have experienced in a very long time. Highly recommend

This charming country pub is truly a hidden gem. The staff is fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food never disappoints. With a wide selection of beers and ciders to choose from, it's always a pleasure to dine and unwind at this establishment.

Took my friend for her birthday , wasn’t disappointed, it was full of diners that’s a good thing in itself . The food was fabulous and served by delightful friendly staff. Visited here with friends yesterday. We booked a bar room as we had a dog with us. A bowl of water and dog biscuits were waiting for us. The service was excellent the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was great and all three of us enjoyed our starters and main. Sadly we were too full for pudding We will return.

I am a frequent diner at this restaurant, as are my family members who live nearby. We always have a wonderful time here, with top-notch food and excellent service. The staff never rushes us, which is a nice change. The menu offers a variety of options, from starters to small plates to entrees. This restaurant is definitely one of my favorites.

Honestly one of the best pub lunches we've ever had. Food outstanding and well-portioned, service equally welcoming and cheery, choice and quality of ales impeccable. They even had a dog menu and dog treats for the pooch with us on the day. The pub itself is cosy, clean and well maintained. Excellent beer garden at the back too which catches the sun. We had a great experience at this restaurant! It has a classy, countryside pub feel to it. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The decor and atmosphere were just right. It was quite busy, so I would suggest making a reservation. However, the fact that it was so popular speaks to its quality; the service was not affected despite the full house. Dogs are allowed in the bar area and there is plenty of parking available on-site. There is also a lovely outdoor area and beer garden that would be perfect on a nice day. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be returning.

We went for Sunday lunch having been to the pub several times previously. The food had always been good previously, but this time the beef was tough and chewy. The staff had been good, so we did not complain and put it down to a bad day and paid the £150 bill for four. We were then asked if they could have the table for the next guests, which we had no problem with and asked where we could sit. The girl went away and a man appeared and said there was nowhere so we would have to leave. He was outrageously rude and unapologetic about the situation. We’ve been to the red lion many times and always really enjoyed it. This visit was on Boxing Day and whilst the food was still really good we were just let down really by a bit of a chaotic experience. The food had been pre-ordered but when we arrived, I was told that the fish for the main course had changed and had I not got the email? (no I haven’t). As it was the alternative fish was really nice, but this was a bit of an indicator of how things were going to go. My starter arrived and it was with pink peppercorns, but it was absolutely drowning in them. Once you picked all those off it was very tasty.
