"Booked for a Sunday lunch for four. Having looked ant the menu, and pucturs online, I was expecting small portions. As a result, we ordered a starter. This was a generous portion of soup, with some really tasty bread, and a small portion of hummus. This felt an odd combination, but it really worked. A short.while later, the mains were served. I was really surprised by the amount of meat. Everything tasted fantastic. I think perhaps a little more veg would have made an amazing meal perfect. Can't comment on the desserts, as none of our group had one, but everything we had, from the food to the service, was fantastic."

"This lovely cafe sitting next to the stream with outside tables. We asked could we sit outside with our Basset Hound. Of course you can came the reply and such a fuss was made of ensuring the dog was comfy first. Fresh water bowl and a doggy ice cream, a special frozen yogurt pot for dogs. Once our dog was happy we were served. This means a lot to dog owners when our family members are made so welcome. We ordered drinks and sandwiches, the place was packed but there was no great delay in service we were surprised at the speed. The sandwiches were delicious in very soft bread plenty of filling and a very nice side salad just enough for a snack lunch. Although busy the staff were so friendly and could not do enough for customers, despite having to cope with all the COVID-19 regulations on top. We will be back."

"Under new management. Totally refurbished and with a new chef we ate here off the Bistro menu. The staff were keen to please and very efficient. The food was of an incredibly high quality. The small plate starters were a fantastic opening followed by the gin cured salmon. The beef pave was cooked perfectly and served with real thought. Having eaten at the old Solo this was definitely a step up. Real Bistro dining in the heart of Sleaford. The web site on Trip Advisor is now incorrect. Try thesolo.bar/ ."

"Always loved this place. Went to book my birthday dinner and was told, “you can come at 6 but you have to promise to be out by 745.” I had to beg to be booked in despite the fact their phone was down and I had to go down there and book in person. What kind of customer service is that?? When I asked to place a dessert order, she frowned like it was the biggest imposition of the night. Never going back. I have spent so much money there and never again."

"Well after being told the food was lovely and worth the trip. The chips was unedible and tasted like old old oil. My steak was not rare but beside that it was cooked badly. Seemed like poor quality meat. And again you can taste old grill oil or it's cheap oil I don't know. This resonated across all five different meals that we had. My parents couldn't believe how the standards have dropped and the quality of food has gone so downhill. The staff was lovely. Little bit slow just getting the drinks out. Struggles with till and and taking the order clearly, but this could be new staff so not their fault. Environment was clean. Didn't use the toilet. Space for wheelchairs. They do have two entrances. One wheelchair accessible one isn't. Good space even for a larger wheelchair as there was a gentleman in in one while we were there. They also have a chocolate shop attached to the pub. And oh my goodness me if you want to visit. There's your reason. It was fabulous freshly made on site her own selection of flavours. I would go back just for them. She was just making a fresh batch of lemon and raspberry melt in your mouth. Please visit. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
