"Our reservation did not appear on their system! We have received email confirmation as per usual. We also got a message confirming that our table is booked. They did not make any effort to find anything else for us. Told us to go find a space in the bar area, if there is any available, didn't even bother to look himself. We stayed there because we booked tickets for Harry Potter studios and as a family with small children it was more convenient to stay there rather than look elsewhere last minute. Very slow service and average food. We definitely don't recommend and we won't be returning."

I was a bit apprehensive in booking a second visit within three weeks as my first experience put me off returning (the food and service was awful). My second visit made up for it everything had improved immensely.

always charming to go to a pub with a separate vegan menu. the rose and crown was the venue for an annual Christmas meeting with my school friends. we had a table in a cozy corner and the cracker added a nice festive note. well dimensioned portions and we all enjoyed eating. would be happy to come back.

Separate vegan menu the vegan tart was delicious pastry case filled with veggies and a leek sauce, also had vegan burger and salad option ; three vegan sides and some vegan desserts- the chocolate torte was very good. would definitely eat here again wen we are in the area. only slight downside was the service three of our main meals appeared but it was several minutes before the fourth and our side dishes appeared
