Visited the Royal George after the lovely makeover and sat in the re-furbished restaurant area. I was one of a party of eighteen and everyone in the party enjoyed their meals which consisted of a variety of dishes and all said they will be returning....

Had a family Sunday lunch, 16 people (14 adults and 2 children) booking process was easy and was met by friendly and helpful staff, everything was explained and seating arrangements were flexible. Drinks and food was lovely with a great carvery. Only two criticisms, disabled...

The booking was easy but unfortunately the service was not , we ordered food which was not Right regarding choice, you seem to have to do everything apart from the washing up , our bill came to £90 , you don’t mind paying if you get waited on , but that must be the way things are done at The Royal George Speisekarte ansehen

We went in for food and a few beers after a long hike in the Peak District. All tired, we walked in looking forward to a beer and nice food. All was good until we met the manager, violent control freak. Poured me a shocking Guiness and was insulted when I asked for a new one. Kicked us all out and started to use physical force to get us out. Never attend this pub, terrible service.

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time since it was renovated, and I must say it is a beautiful and relaxing space. The staff provided excellent service, they were friendly yet professional, and the hospitality was superb. Jordan, the young man serving us, was delightful, and Dean, the manager, was brilliant and very accommodating. The food was delicious and well worth the price, and the bottle of wine we ordered was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning in the future.

Called for a drink here on our way home as we knew it was dog friendly and were really impressed and pleased with the warm welcome we received! The chap behind the bar was super friendly and great with the banter about the wine even though they were incredibly busy we were still made to feel we weren't a hindrance at all. We had unfortunately had a late lunch elsewhere and I wish we hadn't as the menu sounded superb and the meals being delivered around us looked fantastic.
