Great food and service. Nothing too much trouble. Hunters Chicken a pasta dish. Nice Tribute beer and SV wine. Generally will visit again when we are in the area.

We go regularly. The location is quiet, the staff are great, as is the food. The food is the usual Cotswold pub suspects, but done much better than most. The stone bake pizzas are always a winner on a summers day in the garden. Speisekarte ansehen

The fish and chips as well as the sirloin steak were both cooked perfectly, and the generous portions were served piping hot. The only small let down was the very milky cappuccino, lacking in coffee flavor. Overall, the experience was excellent and well worth it.

The food was decent. The steak was cooked well. However, there was a long wait for our meal. The pub itself has a unique atmosphere but could use some tender loving care to make it special. The cushions on the chairs were noticeably stained, and overall, the place could be cleaner.

Since our initial visit, we have consistently felt welcomed and have never had a negative experience with the food, drinks, or service. The staff are all friendly and efficient, going above and beyond to ensure a special visit. The dishes are always freshly prepared and delicious. The Sunday lunches are particularly outstanding! As is the norm now on Sunday lunches, large number of young affable staff to help with the influx. Pleasant inside with fresh flowers on all the tables, contemporary and spacious, although tiny access to men”s toilet. Very tasty roast lamb, not over cooked. Above average cauliflower cheese. Massive and safe outside grass area for children to wander and play. Quiet road access. All the things you want for a relaxed lunch out in Gloucestershire countryside.

We visited today ,had booked for 13.00 table for 3. The decor and atmosphere was lovely and we received warm welcome. We ordered almost immediately we arrived as we knew what we wanted and our son is autistic and doesn’t like waiting. The food arrived 50 minutes after ordering, I asked twice about the delay and was told sorry but they were very busy! When it did arrive it was very good and I have no complaints about the quality of the food. Sadly I won’t feel inclined to return due to the very long wait. At no point we’re we advised on the long wait time for food.

What a hidden gem this place is. Location is beautiful, views looking over the water and plenty of countryside on the other side. We picked it as I was looking for somewhere that would keep my little girl happy whilst us grown ups could also relax! They have a new modern play area which kept her entertained and is a really good size, we would come back for that alone I think! However, the staff and the food are really the stars of the show. The staff were so welcoming and kind and helpful from the moment we arrived which set the scene for the whole visit. The food menu is full of lots of scrummy sounding options too.
