Not serving food at lunch times at the moment and only a few evenings.

We went on the steak night which were fantastic, really welcoming staff and great service.

Nice surroundings however the pastry on the beef and ale pie was cremated.. The filling ok.. Speisekarte ansehen

Proper country pub, with country people, doing country things and then enjoying a country beer afterwards.

A lovely chat with the landlord. I wish the place all the very best. It's worth thinking about reintroducing food, sir. Service: 5

Good food and great atmosphere. Staff very good and service excellent. It was really nice to visit a traditional good old fashioned pub with amazing antique furniture and a fantastic view of the country side.

We had our Sunday lunch at the Shire Horse that was just amazing, then we decided to go tonight for the steak night and I must say both Sundays experience and tonight's were both excellent. Food cooked to perfection along with some of the most friendly staff and customers that we have come across in our travels, Excellent service and value for for money , thank you

First time visit this evening and we had a lovely time. Food was great and all the staff were lovely and looked after us really well. Would definitely recommend if in the area. We'll have to come back for Sunday roast which we hear is rather good Thanks again for a super first visit. Well we've been back a few times now, most recently for a great Sunday lunch with the family. Still a 5 star experience and can't wait to be back!! Speisekarte ansehen
