The Silver Fountain

The best pie I have ever tasted and the most friendly and welcoming staff I have had the pleasure to meet. I cannot understand why more people are not visiting this place. The food is so good. Homemade and fresh. An undiscovered gem. We have travelled from South Yorkshire and wish there was something like this nearer to home.

Fantastic place,great food Our favourite was the beef and Guinness pie.. top notch , the burger was a bit tough and not to our liking but otherwise a great place to eat... The service is 5* lovely lady can’t remember her name but she has short hair and serves you at the bar.... she is brilliant and you can have a laugh with her. Thank you guys

My partner and I dined here for the first time today, and it definitely won’t be our last visit. Both the appetizers and main dishes were outstanding—well-cooked and generously portioned. My main course was probably the best vegetarian dish I’ve ever had, to be honest. The staff was also fantastic. If I could give more than five stars, I would! We called in on our way home to Shropshire twice now on a Sunday early to bookevening. Advised to book a table in advance, please don't rush time here as food is home cooked and not processed. Manic at times but such a lovely place and always made welcome. Dogs welcome and open fireplace. Will definitely go back and will always pass on to others, infact this review is promoted by talking about our weekend and meal on the way home.

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant, which boasts a fantastic and truly traditional atmosphere. The real log fire added to the cozy ambiance. We both opted for the Sunday roast; she chose the beef while I went for the lamb. The portion sizes were generous—too much for her, so we ended up swapping some of her mashed potatoes and beef for a taste of my lamb. Everything was well-cooked and flavorful. I left feeling completely satisfied!

We've stopped by this lovely restaurant on our way home to Shropshire twice now, both times on a Sunday afternoon to make evening reservations. They recommend booking a table in advance, so don’t feel rushed; the food is homemade and not pre-processed. While it can get quite busy at times, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and we always feel welcomed. Dogs are allowed, which is a nice touch, and there's a cozy fireplace. a beautiful old-fashioned and traditional pub in Betws-y-Coed with high quality food. while the menu is varied, the options are a little limited, but there are many special boards up offering a lot more options. starter, main and glooms are covered and waiting for them is not so long! that is, the place is quite quiet, although this jewel of a place should be much more popular. the meals are a bit expensive, but it is worth 100%. the place is clean and well managed, although the arrival to the parking lot (especially on motorcycles) is a challenge with a rough and steep slope. if they are in the opposite, they must visit!

This charming, traditional pub in Betws-y-Coed serves high-quality food. While the main menu is somewhat limited in options, there are plenty of specials listed on boards that provide additional choices. They offer a good selection of starters, mains, and desserts, and the wait time for your meal is surprisingly short! Despite its wonderful offerings, the pub tends to be quite quiet, which is a shame given how deserving it is of more attention. While the prices are a bit on the high side, the quality of the food makes it completely worth it. We made a reservation at the Silver Fountain in advance, as Sally mentioned it was possible for Saturday evening. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Sally at the bar. She informed us about the specials of the day and showed us to our table. We started with the goat cheese and red wobble jam, which came with a green salad garnish—it was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the lamb dish, while my partner went for the ham, chicken, and leek cake. He could only manage to finish his dish, as the portions were quite generous.
