It was so so great and mouthwatering! I immediately fall in love with this place. Sooo tasty pasta, tea, lemonade and of cause dessert, so kind and nice manager and waiters! So recommended for others! You need to taste all food and see this cozy atmosphere! One of my favorite restaurants in Manchester, and the first place I take any friends visiting from London. Every single one of them has the same reaction—they love the food and the atmosphere, and they’re always impressed and eager to return. The food is consistently outstanding, the ambiance is cozy and inviting, and their wine recommendations are exceptional! The staff are incredibly polite and helpful as well. I went solo for dinner, and the food was really nice and cheaper than I was expecting. I had help from the server with the menu and recommended which dishes to be served together. I had Foccacia, Burrata and a daily pasta special to start, then some Bolognese Gnocchi, Pelmeni dumplings and then finished off with a Panacotta. The only part that didn't quite meet expectations were some of the people, most of the servers were really really nice, but there were a couple of folks not dressed in the (typical? black serving uniform, in white that I felt weren't that polite and had kind of a superiority air about them. I really wanted to love this place but don't really understand the hype. Food was OK but nothing mind blowing in our opinion, my favourite was the butter and sage gnocchi, simple and intense flavours. Service was good, everyone was very kind and helpful. Liked the ambience and music. Something I really did not like was that apparently when you tip on the card, the money is not distributed equally amongst the staff, but it is handled by the restaurant and goes towards things like funding staff training.
