Like the sportsman, nice friendly atmosphere and the bar staff are at your best service. Quiz on Thursday nite as well.

Lovely pub held a family wake here staff where accommodating, could do with a larger range of drinks/spirits but very reasonable prices and good decor. Didn't try the food other then buffet laid on.

an excellent pub. I had a hot beef sandwich with chips and pint of theakston, both of which were excellent. even better was the service of two wonderful ladies behind the bar. if that were my local, I would be there every day!

I can't recommend this pub enough. amazing employees who are so inviting. good healthy eating, wein is always the right temperature and all great value for money. we took part in our first quiznacht tonight with some visiting friends and had a great night. well done to the whole team. we'll be back soon. 1). Went in on Saturday 23 Dec for a few drinks and food. Food was lovely. Place was lovely. Pleasant staff. Only thing spoiling our time there was the amount of dogs in, I counted about 6 in total. At one time they were all barking at each other, very noisy. We left early because of this, shame as we were enjoying ourselves.

We asked if we could hold our mams wake there and the woman said they were short staffed but would see what they could do. Paid £330 for a buffet for 35 people that was rubbish, cheap food, roast potatoes?? Soggy crisps.. about 10 minutes in there was another wake come in which we all thought was very disrespectful! Wouldn’t advise.

my father, I wasn't in this pub since the remembrance Sunday before luredown this was actually our first pub meal since the afternoon a few 2 years later. dad had said that the pub had only eaten at lunchtime, but since a few evenings in the week it was added. eating is right boiled home (hopefully this is not misinterpreted as it is intended to be a compliment) I would go so far to say 's as much as a meal her grandmother or aunt would cook for her. The last weekend of dinner is between 5 7 o'clock, but given the recent price increases everywhere, the meals are made with a decent selection of drinks at reasonable prices. the employees are not only very pleasant and will realize that they wi...
