The Sunday roasts at Knacken are fantastic, especially the toffee apple crisp. Everything is made in-house and the music adds a nice touch to end the afternoon. Thank you for the warm welcome.

Fabulous pub with amazing views! Food is great we had the chicken kebabs which were very tasty! Would definitely recommend coming here on a sunny evening to watch the sun go down! Staff and owners are very friendly

Found this pub by the of chance pop in had a lovey roast pork dinner everything was cooked to perfection. Finish dinner then sat in the garden all afternoon listening to live music! We are delighted with our experience at this restaurant. The homemade torte was excellent and the vegetables were fresh. The mashed potatoes and gravy were comforting. We will definitely be planning our next visit, perhaps on a Sunday afternoon based on the reviews. Booked a table for 11 people to celebrate family anniversary. Different food criterias were met and catered for. Set in the most idyllic surroundings, an old fashioned pub with the biggest welcome. Great selection of drinks, great hospitality, menu had a wide range of homecooked food, great portion sizes. There was even a pool table to keep kids entertained. A little gem of a find.

Our experience at this restaurant was amazing from the moment we walked in and were greeted by a friendly atmosphere and staff. The Sunday roast we ordered was delicious and freshly cooked, with perfectly cooked vegetables and tasty roast potatoes. We particularly enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. This was our first time dining at the Star and we were impressed by their attentive service and quality of food. We had the pleasure of visiting this lovely pub yesterday whilst on holiday. We all had a roast dinner and they were lovely, they even brought out a small plate of food for our fussy 7 year old to try and gave her a small bowl of custard on the house, when we had a pudding which was also very nice! The staff were so lovely and nothing was to much trouble they were great hosts and very attentive. We also had the bonus of a great singer that we were not expecting, he was really good and everyone was having the best time, thank you Star Inn.

I visited this pub on a Sunday afternoon and was disappointed by the new owners. The front of the property looked like a construction site, with a neglected beer garden complete with abandoned parasols and debris scattered around. Inside, there was no atmosphere and the bar staff did not interact with customers. The beer selection was limited to Guinness, Fosters, and Carling, and despite a Blue Moon pump, a different beer was being served. The few available bar stools were taken up by toddlers, and the seating area at the rear was inaccessible with chairs stacked on tables. There was no food available, and overall, it was not a place worth revisiting.

From the moment we stepped foot into The Star, it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, with all the food freshly cooked, perfectly made vegetables, and delightful roast potatoes. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect way to end the meal. The staff, who are all family members, provided top-notch customer service without being overbearing. I also learned that they offer takeout and delivery services for locals. It was truly refreshing to dine at a place where everything was just right. I cannot recommend The Star enough and will definitely be returning in the future. Speisekarte ansehen
