Best dining out experience I’ve had in a very long time. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food is locally produced and executed perfectly by a chef who clearly knows what he’s doing. Only wish I lived a little closer and could frequent more often. Pub dining experiences like this are becoming harder and harder to find. Will definitely return and stay in the rooms upstairs. Absolutely love this place and have visited many times. We made a weekend of it this time around and stayed in one of the new rooms at the pub.They have been beautifully decorated with lots of touches making the rooms feel luxurious. Would definitely stay again! We tried the new menu during our stay and thoroughly recommend it as well the food tasted amazing (especially the prawns) and such good value for money! The staff are so welcoming and service was great. We asked for wine recommendations to go with the new menu, and these went really well with the food. We had a Wednesday night dinner here thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were so lovely, answering any questions we had, being attentive, friendly never pushy. Portions were generous, especially considering the absolute quality of the ingredients and flavourful dish produced! Really Devine flavours. We had the fish special their classic rotisserie chicken (partner obsessed with the gravy! garlic bread, finished with the fig dessert to share. They catered well to my Coeliac disease, aware of cross contamination in fryers etc, the chef had anotated the menu which options were completely Gluten free (Coeliac safe separately which were 'gluten free ' but shared fryers with gluten containing foods (...
