It gets quite crowded on weekends with nice weather, but it's a charming spot.

Visited these guys for a drink whilst at the nearby boatyard. Good drinks choice a nice outside seating area.

It was my favourite pub in Hemel Hempstead with a nice terrace close to the canal and very friendly staff, but now they increased prices and are even more expensive than the Paper Mill in Apsley. Speisekarte ansehen

This charming pub by the canal offers a lovely outdoor dining experience during the recent warm evenings. Their standout dish is the delicious cod and chips served on Fish Friday. Jack, the friendly head waiter, ensures that we have a wonderful dining experience. It truly is the perfect spot in Hemel to enjoy a Friday evening.

I went to this restaurant on Thursday afternoon and while there, I booked a table for 7pm on Sunday. The barmaid took down our details and phone number, even confirming them as we sat outside. However, when we arrived at 7pm on Sunday, we were informed that the kitchen had closed at 7. It is disappointing that they took our booking without informing us of their closing time, especially since they could have easily called to let us know about the mistake. Not impressed.

This restaurant used to be one of the best places to eat before the lockdown, but since then the menu has become boring and the food is overpriced and bland. We ordered chicken goujons for 7.95, which came with a bland dip and no salad garnish. The chorizo cheese dish was disappointing, with cheap melted cheese slices, chunks of chorizo, and only three small pieces of bread. The breads and oils dish was also lacking, with three skinny pieces of bread and a cup of oil with vinegar. The restaurant should reevaluate their menu options and lower their prices, as there are better options nearby like The White Horse. Speisekarte ansehen
