Had cheese and bacon burger and it came with chips and onion rings. Huge portion, more than I could eat, but it was delicious. Eton mess was delicious too. Would highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Not many vegan options but the burger is delicious! Large portions. Plant milks available for coffee and decaf options so a winner for me. Staff friendly and efficient. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The service was good at the start, then we had to keep calling the waiter for more drinks, we were the only table in there, I had the steak and ale pie, it was over cooked, all pastry no filling no flavour at all, very disappointed with the whole experience. Good night out! Huge portions so forego the starters. The steak and ale pie was traditional and filling, served with massive chips (frites); but doggy-bags were provided. Always a friendly welcome for us and our dogs. Great selection of beers, Ales wines and spirits. Lovely decor, cosy and homely. A great selection of local history of St Athan on the walls around the pub. Food is delicious, fantastic choice, freshly prepared, really tasty and generous portions. The owners and the team make you feel welcome and are so friendly. Whether you're lucky enough to be a local or passing through, I would highly recommend a visit or two or three....
