We had only dinner tonight, not here for years. eating was great, the staff was helpful. the pub has become for the better, it used to feel so tortured no more. will recommend my family and friends

this pub was recently visited and impressed each time. the bar staff are beautiful and are always happy to help them with everything they need. drinks are a reasonable price and so is eating. would recommend

one of the best pubs we have eaten on our last trip in the very narrow country. beautifully decorated. great eating and excellent service we ate here a few times and the whole food we had was very good. the linguini we had was the best of our trip. we also had fish and chips, bark meat and ale pie and hunters huhn. I hope I'll eat here again.

As previous review waitress held our drinks glasses at the top, not hygienic at anytime but particularly during the pandemic. Food mediocre/poor. No staff dress code, addressed as ‘darling’. Surroundings shabby and better attention needs to be paid to cleaning tables between customers. Charged us...for beer which was sent back as it smelt and tasted fusty. It is sometime since our previous visit we won’t be going back there has been significant fall in the venue since our previous visit.

Was served by a young girl who handed me and my partner our drinks by holding the top of our glass rims, with covid happening right now this is absolutely unacceptable. I'm not the type of person to make a scene so we up and...left and went down to another pub in the village, also the young girl tends to hang around talking and sitting down with customers and there hardly any staff wearing professional uniform to show there part of the team and work there the girl who served us was wearing what looked like sandals a t-shirt with a belt and a pair of shorts something you'd expect to see a member of the public coming in wearing not a member of staff. We visited today for Sunday roast, our first meal out in a year without the children. The pub was quite busy, but tables where spaced out so it wasn't cramped. Our orders were taken very promptly and drinks arrived within a very speedy time. The...young waitress was very friendly and professional. The roast it's self was delicious, I had beef and my husband had gammon. Both were cooked equally well and of a brilliant size. We opted for coffees after as we were stuffed from the main. Attempted to have lunch here today. Food ordered at At was advised they were just having to sort my jacket potato as it had been put through as a baguette. At this point we had a baby needing a nap and a toddler...who was understandably starving so we left. The wait was blamed on the fact that the table before us put through meals separately. During our hour long wait in addition to the cover table only other tables had food brought out. Of which each table had two covers. When i challenged that one table of shouldn't cause a food based pub's kitchen to fall apart I was advised it had been busy before I arrived.
