Absolutely amazing food, brilliant menu, lovely decor, good service, ample car park, beautiful location. Not far from the wolds way trail. Friendly staff. Definite return planned.

So disappointing …asked to preorder for our group of 12,starters did not arrive together 3 hot starters were finished before the rest arrived ,one order was missed off the main course order and when rectified was served cold .The food was not up the standard expected of the cost for the meal. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We walked in without any welcome or direction, and just joined a confused queue at the bar. It was chaotic with people running around like headless chickens. The woman who brought us menus was cold and immediately informed us of what was not available, including the roast which was what we had come for. There was no apology given. We decided to leave and will not be returning again.

Not worth it. The food is overpriced and mediocre. I went with my family of 5 adults and 3 children, and it was terrible. I ordered the Turkey Ballotine that I saw on their Instagram, but it was just slices of turkey. My partner got the scallops starter and only got 2 scallops. Very disappointing. I also left a toy bunny for my girls and messaged them about it, but they didn't bother to respond. Don't waste your time going there.

Had our annual Boxing Day meal at this lovely pub, got sat down straight away and it was a pleasant surprise to see a fairly standard menu available, not just a set Christmas one, the haddock fish cakes went down very well and the Asian duck salad was a delight, everyone enjoyed their mains but the standouts were the spiced pork belly and what was one if the best steak pies I’ve ever tasted, portions were a good size and we will 100% return in the future Speisekarte ansehen

The food at this restaurant was flawless. Our Sunday lunch was delicious and beautifully presented, enjoyed by everyone at the table. However, the experience was marred by extremely slow service. It took 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken, and we had been in the restaurant for over an hour before any food arrived. It's a shame because the decor and atmosphere are fantastic, and the food is excellent. The slow and inattentive service was the only downside.

We made a reservation for a party of 11 in the winter garden room and informed the chef that we needed our food orders quickly... everything seemed very promising at first. However, once we placed our orders, we were largely ignored. We had to track down a staff member for drinks and cutlery. Unfortunately, the wait staff seemed disinterested and it left us feeling quite frustrated. The food itself was flawless and definitely worth the price. We have dined at the bar before and have always been impressed, which is why we chose this restaurant to celebrate my father's birthday with our family. We visited a few times whilst staying in the village and enjoyed a tasty meal on Saturday evening. It was very busy but lots of friendly young attentive staff on hand. Love that they brought the food out on large trays so it's all served at the same time. My husband had the burger which he said was delicious, I had the steak pie which was disappointing, meat was very tasty but the pastry was rock hard and inedible. I didn't complain as everything else was delicious, but the lady who collected our plates, possibly a manager noticed I hadn't eaten the pie and kindly removed it from the bill.
