The Union Inn, Denbury

What a lovely place. The food was lovely. My husbands curry was amazing. Great selection of drinks and the pub was spotlessly clean. They even have a little tuck shop. Please take a visit you wont be disappointed.

What a rare treat, fabulous beer and excellent food. Really welcoming, friendly staff, highly recommend you venture out for a pie and a pint. Home cooked food that took me back to my mum’s cooking. Will certainly be going back!

Weve been a few times now, and always had a great experience, the staff are friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The menu is very good and the food very filling. The green outside is lovely on a sunny evening, i would recommend this place very highly. Speisekarte ansehen

Sat in the beer garden,where we have a limited menu compared to the main bar as they have to walk 5 meters across the road,we have ordered 12 yes 12 meals and have been informed that they probably won't be served at the same time , this used to be agreat establishment for the last 20 years but this is possibly the worst service i have ever received, stay away from this place especially if you have children who dont understand why you are being treated so bad

I cannot speak highly enough of The Union Inn. Lovely setting, gorgeous food and kind, friendly and helpful staff. Unlike many places we’ve eaten, they were fully understanding of our various food allergies and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable in eating there. The food was beautifully prepared, with generous portions. Sarah and Paul were wonderful front of house, and topped off our experience perfectly. So much thanks to Rob and Danni, for accommodating our allergies. We will be going back… often!

I decided to treat myself and went to the Union for Sunday lunch. I opted for the pork roast and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it was served. The portion size was generous, perhaps a bit too much for me to finish in one sitting. The pork was perfectly cooked with delicious crackling, and the cauliflower cheese was rich and flavorful, though I struggled to finish it all. The Yorkshire pudding was a highlight, being big, light, and fluffy. Overall, I left feeling satisfied but needing a nap on the sofa to recover from the food coma. Speisekarte ansehen

We popped in initially just for a pint after a concert in the church, and could smell delicious food and decided to stay and eat. Being keen cooks ourselves we are fussy about where we eat and have never been disappointed at the Union Inn and tonight was no exception. We’d thought that the Sunda y roasts would have finished around 4pm , so it was a lovely surprise. The food was so well cooked and like it was home cooked with lovely vegetables cooked just right and the cauliflower cheese was superb. The staff were very helpful checking we were enjoying it and bringing lots of extra gravy when asked. We will be eating Sunday roast at 5:30pm there more often!

They advertise Sunday roasts served 12-7pm so we booked for 6pm this being several days beforehand Arrived at 5.50pm to firstly be told there was only 2 meats available and then we were informed there were no roast potatoes, we could have chips or mash ??? Now I could understand that if we were walk ins but we had booked well in advance. Given that one of our party was diabetic and needed to eat we decided to stay and order from their standard menu The meals when they arrived were more than acceptable but they took an inordinate time to arrive (we had to chase the order) and were not what we wanted, a Sunday roast. We visited this restaurant on the last evening of our holiday, as it was recommended by a local where we were staying. I booked a table the day before as advised, to avoid any disappointment. We were warmly greeted by the staff, and ordered drinks before being shown to our table. There was a wide variety of drinks to choose from, especially ciders which are my favorite. The menu had a large selection of dishes, making it difficult to decide. We opted for starters and mains, but unfortunately didn't have room for dessert.
