The Viceroy - Speisekarte

We had a party of 19 for a 30th birthday celebration tonight and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and the staff did an excellent job of serving everything together. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating.

Once again, The Viceroy serves up excellent food with attentive and friendly staff. The decor may be a bit outdated, but don't let that deter you or your guests. The food service is superb, thank you to the gentlemen working there. Thank you, Edward from Lichfield. May 6, 2023.

This restaurant is a fantastic option for dining in or taking away. It is conveniently located in the city center right next to the bus station. The restaurant has a charmingly aged ambiance, a testament to its many happy customers. The staff is consistently helpful and polite.

Takeaway for collection. Was ready for collection at appointed time. Onion Bhaji and samosa as starters were good. All four main course dishes were excellent. The only substandard items were the paper thin poppadoms. Overall, very happy with our takeaway meal. Well done to the Viceroy.

I am so glad that the viceroy stood the test of the time that never moved, never closed, never under new managment" has consistently the same amazing curry for as long as I can remember. the service is always very friendly attentive, without invasive. the price is very reasonable, given the high quality fresh of their curries. no other Indian restaurant in fife comes near the taste sensation class provided by viceroy!

Haven’t been here for a couple of years but the main courses are of an exceptional standard. I had the lamb tikka and my bf had chicken rogan josh with rice and garlic naan. The lamb and chicken were of excellent quality and extremely succulent. I had three large pieces of lamb. The garlic naan was Devine. I had the mushroom pakora which is good with a lovely sauce and bf had the onion bhaji which was very good. Coffee to finish £11.50 each. What’s not to like. Will defo be back.

We actually really enjoy the food from this restaurant, particularly the vindaloo. We have therefore ordered from them multiple times, despite the take away delivery being consistently slow (Ie more than 2 hours). Each time we hope it has been bad luck but we are currently waiting for food that we ordered nearly 3 hours ago which was estimated to be delivered an hour and a half ago. On calling we are always advised that the food is ‘on its way’. Sadly, we won’t be ordering again as it somewhat ruins the fun of a takeaway and any plans we might have made for the evening when it takes 3 hours to arrive.

I used to be a regular of The Viceroy about 30 years ago and at that time it was very busy, even at lunch times. Popped in about 9p.m.without a booking (Saturday) 25 February 2023 hoping we could get a table for two however it was surprisingly quiet and we were taken to a table immediately. Service: Excellent; all staff were very smartly dressed, attentive, and professional. Food: My brother and I had the Tikka Masala Garlic Chilli which was outstanding, absolutely delicious and plentiful. Garlic bread which again was perfectly delicious, with ‘chips’.
