"The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was tasty and met expectations. We weren't happy with the original table allocated to our party and it wasn't too much trouble to move us to a different table. A glass of wine was knocked over and the glass broke again the staff were very helpful in clearing up the mess. To cap it all my Mum choked on her food which caused a bit of an incident for 5 minutes and again the staff were very helpful and understanding. This was our second lunch at The Victoria and we will definitely return. Many thanks."

Had a lovely Valentine evening meal at a very reasonable price. Romantic setting with roses and rose petals on the table. Staff very attentive. Attention to detail. Excellently prepared and tasty food.

We visited The Victoria last Sunday lunchtime. A group of 4 girlfriends. We were sat by the lovely fire. We all had a roast dinner and pudding. The food was delicious and the service attentive. We will definitely be returning. Ticket #236

Seriously tasty burger! Beautiful lovely pub with friendly staff and delicious food. The pictures don't do it just justice apologies. One of the best pub burgers I have had in a long time. Bar area is dog friendly as well. Well worth a visit!

Food was not the best. Expensive for a small share plate with a wilted salad, burnt belly pork, over cooked sausage rolls. The waiter argued about our side order, saying we had order incorrectly when after 1 hour our correct side order turned up, as we were leaving!

We were seated at a great table with comfortable chairs in a nice area, and the waitress who greeted us was friendly. The food was tasty and served hot. However, the drinks took a while to come, and the service in general was a bit slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Despite this, we had a delightful evening and would definitely come back.

This is our 3rd time coming here. It's a really nice place which serves excellent food and drinks. Great decor, staff, atmosphere. Car park right outside. Quite handy being not too far from the motorway. I've only taken a star off for the price. 4 of us ate here during my most recent visit and it was nearly £150. It was over £10 for a G&T. I just think some of the prices are unnecessarily high.

A first and a last for me. The last review of 2022 and my first meal out since my bypass surgery. We were sat by the radiator, which was a bonus as it was a cold day out. The bulb in the nearest light fitting was missing, so it was slightly dark. Nice clean, warm Gastro pub, though. The food was good, but I ordered Szechuan Squid, which tasted of no spice. The mains were good. Nice attentive service. I'd still go back one day.

We have dined at the Vic several times, but on this occasion, we were extremely disappointed. We waited over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, two out of the four meals were served cold. The issue was somewhat resolved by reheating them in the microwave, but it was still disappointing. Additionally, not all of the dessert options we wanted were available. It's a pity, as we have generally been satisfied with this restaurant in the past.
