I visited a great pub and ordered the battered fish. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy a drink since I was driving, but the beer selection looked really impressive.

We needed some food after a 6 mile walk around the woods in Walters Ash so decided to give The Wheel a go. We had a warm welcome before being seated. The food was really good and great value. Will be coming back again for sure.

You can't do better than The Wheel as your local area great pub with superb food. Nothing fancy just proper pub grub do so well! Tuesday had one of the specials each, Chicken a la King, delicious! Friday Chilli and Rice always so good then Sunday roast beef, you cannot get a better proper Sunday roast than here. Much more expensive places cannot get it right! Spent two nights here in our Motorhome in the car park. Myself and my husband and my brother and sister in law in their Motorhome. We have never had such a warm welcome. We felt like royalty! The spaces were coned off for our arrival and we were offered free electric hookup. Had a great night drinking Friday and went in for delicious food and drinks Saturday night. They even brought the dog a bed so she didn’t have to lie on the floor. All staff were super helpful and friendly and great atmosphere in the pub. We will 100% be back again and again! The Le De Spencers Arms is a charming pub located in Downley, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, UK. I discovered this gem while staying at my aunt's house and decided to try their Sunday roast. Despite the crowded dining area, I was fortunate enough to snag a small table for one near the kitchen. I ordered the lamb roast, which was cooked to perfection with a side of overcooked vegetables and a delicious gravy. Dessert was apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, although the temperature contrast between the hot crumble and frozen ice cream was a bit off-putting. Overall, I enjoyed my meal at Le De Spencers Arms and would recommend it for a traditional English Sunday roast experience with friends...

The Spencers Arms is a fantastic retreat for wet and cold walkers. A group of friends and I found ourselves caught in torrential rain during a country walk from Saunderton to High Wycombe yesterday. After being turned away from Hughenden Manor due to being fully booked, we made our way to Downley Common where we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and sympathetic landlord. Despite being fully booked, he made room for us to enjoy a pint, cup of hot tea, a delicious hot roast dinner, and a cozy place to sit and warm up. We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Fuller and his staff for their patience and creativity in accommodating us and our muddy boots and dripping raincoats. The Spencers Arms is a... Speisekarte ansehen
