This is an absolutely fantastic family-run pub with a friendly atmosphere. The food is amazing, and I highly recommend it!

we had a group of 31, without taking out the personal was friendly, efficient and made our party something special. nothing was too much annoyed and eating was delicious. thanks to jess and naomi who helped organize and set up everything, I would recommend this pub to everyone.

Excellent food, ox cheek and fish pie particularly good. Beautifully decorated, friendly staff. Very dog friendly, had dinner in the bar area but very civilised and made to feel very welcome. Good parking. We waited a little longer than expected for our main courses and the staff were amazing, updating us and taking money off the bill to apologize. Will definitely be back!

This is an excellent pub with a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was served piping hot and was delicious! We both ordered burgers, which were flavorful and very hearty. I also enjoyed a pint of White Horse ale, which was fantastic. They do a great job of balancing the traditional 'pub' vibe with a restaurant setting. We had the most amazing vegan meal last night. Three courses of really tasty food. We are vegetarian, moving towards veganism, and the menu we were delivered last night really did show that with plant based food tasting this good there really is no need to eat animals. My favourite was the butternut squash parmigiana it was so tasty. All staff are so friendly and welcoming too. We had a lovely evening. Can't wait until the next event!! Thank you xxx

We ordered the Eggs Benedict, which arrived at a lukewarm temperature, and the Spicy Beans on Toast, which was a disappointingly small serving. We requested a side order of toast, expecting two slices, but were given just one. The first slice came with butter, but the second round arrived without any. Throughout our visit, we felt largely ignored by the waitress. When we expressed interest in dessert, we were asked if we would like to see the dessert menu, which struck us as odd. The bill was exorbitant considering the quality and portion sizes we received. I will not be returning.

Jess and the team recently hosted us for a surprise 50th wedding anniversary celebration for my parents. This all started in the spring of 2021 with the event to be held late summer. Unfortunately due to one of the guests of honour contracting covid, we were forced to rearrange that booking to January 2022. Jess was extremely helpful and understanding and helped us with all the upheaval of having to rearrange. Well yesterday was the day and with flu now affecting a few of our guests, once again, Jess was extremely accommodating with the necessary changes in guest numbers.
