"I have been dining at Perkins for many years and have never experienced poor food or service. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. "Honestly, I went here ready to love the restaurant, but feel maybe it's taking things a little bit for granted. Had multiple dishes. Fussiloni. Wow well I am guessing boiled mince, but not an expert about why meat tasted the way it did, but I associated meat with mass produced methods of canteen food. Specials pasta was alright, think if not pasta itself being Al dente would definitely say most of people can prepare the dish at home without much effort. Wagyu whilst granted I never ate wagyu before was rubbery. Maybe that's how it suppose to be but I really had a bite and didn't want more. Tiramisu was Limoncello based , soft. Personally didn't like it, but I can see other people enjoying it. Overall during meal I was questioning my meat eating morals :D. Service was lovely. Decor was nice. Prices were high"

"The food served don’t deserve 2 Michelin stars, I was so excited to be dining here for lunch. After dining at many one star restaurants my imagination was going wild at what we’d be served. The hors d’ oeuvres were underwhelming, one was a jelly sweet smothered in sugar! The bread was cold and was not fresh at all. The fish course was served on some sort of crust, this tasted stale. The fish itself did not of the texture of fish and was tasteless. As the dishes were brought out the more disappointed we became. Not one dish had a flavour explosion or brought any happiness. Not one dish seemed complete and everyone lacked something. As for the candy floss dessert, i tried, it failed not worth the calories. We paid the £440 bill for 2 and left speechless and hungry. Giving this restaurant 2 Michelin stars is a license to print money. If you’d like a Michelin experience half the price try Adams, Upstairs or even Simpsons in the midlands."

"Since the birth of our baby boy, my husband and I have been somewhat reluctant to eat out- between breastfeeding and the unpredictable nature of a newborn it feels like there is too much that can potentially go wrong. However, we had grown tired of...our self imposed social isolation and decided to venture out to Portello Lounge for breakfast yesterday morning. Our experience was excellent, the food and drinks were delicious as usual, the service was quick, efficient and friendly and best of all we discovered just how family friendly Portello Lounge is. They are a breastfeeding friendly venue and I felt completely at ease breastfeeding our baby there, especially as I was not the only mother nursing their child. Additionally, they have some of the best baby changing facilities that we have experienced in our short time as parents so far. We will undoubtedly be back for breakfast soon."

"Since the reopening, I've visited this restaurant a few times—once on Sunday afternoon and again on Saturday night. Both experiences were incredibly enjoyable! The steak on Saturday night was one of the best I've had in a long time. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, which creates a great atmosphere throughout the restaurant. I would highly recommend it!"
