This place has gone down! It's just about the level of an upmarket Weatherspoons! Poor quality cooking. They had run out of so much on the menu!

We had a wonderful evening celebrating my daughter's 30th birthday with her lovely friends. The restaurant had a fantastic ambiance, delicious food, and our waitress, Freya, was exceptional. She truly was a star.

Friendly welcome. Nice table in a good atmosphere. Excellent service from Dan, very accommodating looked after us well. Food was tasty well presented. Dan recommended the crumble- great choice! Very happy with our visit. Guest suggestion- would be good to offer coffee mini dessert option on the menu.

Overly priced..food nice.. Ale fish and chips..more batter than fish which was over cooked.... Too crispy!! Notice the people at next table who had also ordered fish n chips left most of the fish... We visited this Marston Pub for the first time. It was very disappointing with poor quality expensive food. I had lamb shank which was small and not well cooked. We didn’t bring the quality or lack of it to the staff as looking around people were even leaving fish and chips. There is no excuse for poor quality poorly presented food and I would not recommend this pub

The food here is quite expensive but unfortunately there’s not a lot of it and it’s not very good quality. A £23 rib eye steak was tough as boots, it had about 12 chips with it and the green pea shoots were simply about an inch of pea shoots on the plate. My plate was about a quarter filled. My friend had a sirloin and that was also a poor quality. The waitress Katie was lovely and very helpful but this restaurant is really lacking. Probably won’t return which is sad as it’s in a lovely setting.

I visited the restaurant on March 9th for a meal. Unfortunately, after waiting 45 minutes for my rare steak, it was served well done. When I discreetly informed the bar staff to resolve the issue quickly, instead of an apology, they argued with me. Eventually, they agreed it was not rare and took it away to remake. However, they continued to argue with me about the situation. After sitting for over an hour without receiving my food, I had to cancel and request a refund due to the poor service. Even asking for a refund took an additional ten minutes. Overall, the service was disappointing and unacceptable. Speisekarte ansehen
