that was delicious. a little wait for some bits, but it is so fresh what it tastes delicious so swings and circular really. maybe another toaster and more sauce. Whenever I was the sauce, is always empty

Long queue times to get food- staff was being shouted at while we got our food and then we found black plastic in our food. When we informed the manager they said it would be from the Yorkshire puddings (I’m gluten free and had no Yorkshire puddings) and didn’t seem that concerned

as a vegan I was not sure if I could really eat here, but I got a delicious mushroom and an ale gravy and the staff was very aware of the nutritional requirements, even if the place is strongly concentrated on meat. there are some vegan food and a vegan dessert I think. hopefully we will see more in the future! Very polite staff, although your targeted sales of £9100 for the day did make the staff far to pushy at trying to up sell. This of course then makes the visit very un personal and your guests just feel like a number, it's not necessarily a good business tactic, the visit felt a little rushed, as soon as I refused a desert I received the bill, I understand a business needs to generate a profit but at what cost. Food was up to the usual standard, thank you.

I really wanted to praise your manager/assistant manager. I think her name was Charlotte. Unfortunately didn't get to eat as my mum had a fall in the restaurant. Charlotte was amazing and stayed with me and my mum till we got my mum ready to get in a car to go to hospital. Props to her though for guessing that my mum's ankle wasn't broken, that first aid training came in handy. Charlotte is an amazing person and you are lucky to have this staff member in your company. overall a good experience, more modern roundings compared to other toby’s. had a little wait for karvery to refill, but it was so understandable between peek times and I was happy to wait. the eating was delicious, but the best was the personal. open to see, they had her a game on even though it was only 3 or 4 server on a Saturday. abi was our server, she was great, chatting and down on the earth, please give her an additional celebration or something to show thankfulness as she is at uni and work as we all know the fights of working life equal weight. eating is generally good, especially for the price. the veg in the offer is not always consistent, so it can be a little disappointing to find items such as the potato/potato gratin isnt available. it would be good if it was advertised what was offered on a particular day. my main reason for 4 stars is the last time we have been waiting for a long time when we thought that a worker would bring us to a table, although it was not very busy. the workers seemed only bad to the fact that someone was waiting to sit what was a little frustrating. also the service in the regular is decent.

After we checked this place once and the last 3 times were impressed, we returned yesterday and the inevitable has happened. it has gone completely downhill, the staff seems no longer to worry, the place was an absolute scandal of a staate, especially at the carvery and the eating had gone very downhill. meat was poor quality, veg was cremated and gray looking. the place was very quiet, but we were halfway through the dinner before the drinks arrived. the staff did not seem to care, they spent most of the time kinn wagging at the bar. very poor. they need a massive kick on the back as this place was great when it was opened first, less than 2 months later...more
