"Another fabulous culinary experience! Came here today with my family and 2 small well behaved dogs. Lovely warm welcome, staff are friendly and efficient without being pressing. We came for Sunday lunch, the rest of my party had lamb, beef or chicken with a very generous bowl of green beans, carrots and swede and another of cauliflower cheese. They do offer a coeliac friendly Sunday lunch, however, I love fish so opted for their cod loin and caper, new potatoes and green beans alternative. We couldn't have been happier. Meats were melt in the mouth, fish was so well cooked. We had some beautiful deserts, cheese cakes, the apple crumble, and cherry frangipani (GF) So much choice for all. Our dogs weren't left out either as the staff were very dog friendly and the management team brought out little cuts of meat as treats for them. Everyone is made to feel valued here. Love it! Haven't found anywhere better down here for a roast!"

"we were welcome at 2.55 clock when they closed the kitchen at 15 o'clock. this did not seem too much annoying, service was very friendly and eating very tasty. it was clear that everything was homemade and cooked with carefree. it was also a very beautiful view of the castle, perfect place to stay after the visit."

"Been waiting to come here for a while! Place hasn 't changed since I visited it many many moons ago before it was alumchine. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Sat for our meal in the 'conservatory ' area and watched the sun set which was lovely. Menu is plentiful and with specials 'board ' brought to your table. Food was delicious. The bruschetta was especially delightful. Nice touch was the finger bowls to clean your fingers when tucking into the seafood platter and wings. My only critique is that the menu on the website and in house differ not only with dishes (slightly) but with price too. I personally look at costs when choosing a restaurant unfortunately my pennies are not never ending and in the cost of living crisis I think this should be addressed."
