Eating is always delicious and served hot and well presented. we have our favorites on the menu and some are not so enthusiastic, but this is a question of taste. we liked the katsu curry huh, which unfortunately left the menu for the time, but there is a lot to choose for any taste, even if they are after gluten-free or vegetarian decisions. we find it clean and if they ask for something, the staff will do their best to please. the pub is divided into different areas, suitable for adults only dining rooms, family-friendly eating and a bar area that still serves dine. there are many tvs surrounded, pool table and a dartboard in the bar area. for a round pub restaurant they can not really beat it locally in my opinion. good location for overnight with friends or family."

Eat simply in The travel Joy today. My first visit to the pub. What a nice reception from the staff! Trish was our waitress, nothing was too much trouble, so cheerful and helpful. The food was also great, good portions! Definitely worth a visit! Thank you.

Visited for evening meal in Southend with family, where I had the mixed grill. Impressed with the contents of the plate. Steak was cooked as ordered, chips, peas, onion rings, gammon, egg, etc. Only chicken were slightly overcooked with a slimy seasoned coating (assume dipped in seasoned flour?

19 members of our Ladies club met for lunch and were shown to the reserved area for us . Trish was our waitress and boy did she work hard . Nothing was too much trouble . All our meals arrived at the same time and piping hot . Great food and very generous portions. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back !
