Comida muy buena calidad , muy buena cocción y temperatura nos gusto mucho

Muy mejorable en general, la comida está bien pero pagas como si fuera algo premium. Servicio muy malo.

My girlfriend and I went here for her birthday. The price was a bit steep – about €120 for the both of us – but the food was great.

El mejor restaurante de comida japonesa de Girona sin duda! No destacaría ningún plato por encima de otro porqué está todo increible y ofrecen un menú muy completo!

UMAI es un restaurante de comida oriental catalanizado. Ha conservado las técnicas de la comida japonesa, y la ha funcionado con ingredientes catalanes. El resultado no es deforme, sino sinérgico. Muy recomendado. Speisekarte ansehen

We chose Umai for a special meal with friends because they claim to have gluten free options. However the waitress insisted the only gluten free choice on the menu was a plain rice 'sushi ' roll without embellishment. The soy sauce on the table was Chinese rather than the Tamari we expected, and though she grudgingly produced a tiny dish of Tamari whenI pointed this out, she said everything else on the menu was made with Glutenous soy, and therefore dangerous to me. So I had a plain rice roll while my friends had delicious looking bento boxes not much fun!

We visited umai with the family for Tuesday dinner. The first surprise was that it was full. We ate at the bar and was a good experience as we could see the ability of the chef doing sushi. We trusted in chef's advise and we ordered the tasting menu and it was amazing: algae salad very well dressed, two kinds of noodles (fantastic the beef ones), sushi and turbot (fish). We love foie sushi, really delicious!. The desserts are also great. I recommend moshi. Is not cheap but it definitely worths it! The staff is very friendly, we ordered a wine that was not available and they offered another (more expensive) for the same price. The restaurant is small and has a relaxed admosphere.

Totalmente recomendable para comer no solamente sushi si no cualquier otro plato que tengan en la carta ya que está todo delicioso. Nosotros pedimos por ejemplo el steak tartar que nada tiene que ver con el sushi y de igual forma estaba muy rico. La calidad de la comida es excepcional. Evidentemente no es tan económico como otros restaurantes de sushi que hay en Girona sin embargo la frescura de los ingredientes y las combinaciones de sabores hacen que en mi opinión merezca la pena venir aquí para una ocasión especial. El servicio estuvo bien pero si que es verdad que quizás las personas que nos atendieron eran un poco secas, estaban atentas al servicio y nos trataron bien pero no me sentí m... Speisekarte ansehen
