White House - Speisekarte

This is our second visit for food, I cannot fault the lovely homemade meals. I think it’s reasonably priced for food however we did feel the drinks were on the high side in comparison to other places in the area.

We will not be coming back to this restaurant. The management really need to improve their customer service skills. We were shocked by the prices - spending over £500 and finding the drinks to be extremely overpriced.

The dishes were dirty on the bottom. The serving of fries was tiny. The fish was tasty, but the lasagna was just average. This was the worst meal we have ever had at this restaurant, and despite having eaten here multiple times before, we will not be returning. It seems like there may be new management and all new staff.

Visited for Sunday lunch yesterday. Both of us had the pork roast and throughly enjoyed it. Good selection of veg: carrots, green beans, red cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower cheese. Nice to have mash as well as roast potatoes. Deserts were great too: biscoff cheese cake and cookie dough with ice cream. Service was good and great value for money. Will visit again.

We passed this place and didn’t think it looked up to much but we were hungry and didn’t want to head into Whitby so we thought we would just see what it was like and I’m glad we did. The beer garden has the most amazing view of sandsend and the golf course The food was delicious and all home made, I watched the chef pick fresh herbs from the garden to use which impressed me, we shall be back!

The meal was excellent and a good atmosphere. I loved the Sweet and Sour Prawn and my daughter loved the Thai Green Chicken and the son in law loved his large East Coast Haddock plus the grandson was happy with his Chicken Nuggets. I would have loved to give them a star rating but the service was very slow and we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for the meal to arrive. Despite that, it was worth waiting for.

Really good food. Homemade and staff very friendly. I asked if I could have the salmon without sauce and perhaps salad instead of vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised as the chef had obviously put some effort in going over and above with the salad. My husband had the steak pie which was a quarter of a dinner plate size pie rather than these tray bakes you often get given. He was really impressed with quality. We would definitely eat there again

My party and I visited this restaurant for Sunday dinner. While the restaurant has nice views, unfortunately our view was obstructed by a pillar. There is parking on site, but it may be limited. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, although the cost of a pint of lager was a bit high. The staff was friendly, but it seemed like they were not taking orders in the correct order - several tables were able to order before us despite arriving earlier.

On our previous visits the food has been wonderful, our last visit was shocking, went for evening meal with friends, my friend and I had mushroom stroganoff, it came and really we should had said something straight away, as it looked like a tomato sauce with peppers tomatoes and mushrooms in it, this was tasteless, the rice was not good either, we did say to the waitress it was not good, she said she would let the chef know, but we heard nothing back, complaint handled very badly, will not be visiting again!
