"I absolutely love this pub; it’s everything a traditional pub should be. They don’t serve food, but that doesn’t bother me or the locals at all. It’s a place for regulars to enjoy a few beers and chat with other patrons. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with everyone greeting you with a smile. The vibe is laid-back, and the owner is fantastic. It's genuine and not forced, which is exactly the kind of pub I appreciate. I can’t wait to go back very soon!"

"The food at this restaurant is of great quality and the service is friendly. The pub food is outstanding, especially the lamb and vegetarian Sunday lunch which was served with generous portions of vegetables, toasties, and gravy. The Yorkshire pudding was a nice touch and not overly large. The slow cooked BBQ pork was also exceptional. The starters were just as delicious and although we didn't try desserts, the menu looked very tempting. The service was efficient and welcoming, and the price for a 2-course meal with drinks was reasonable at £25 per person. Overall, this was a fantastic choice for Sunday lunch and we highly recommend it. We plan to return on a different day of the week to try more of the menu offerings."

"After being disappointed by a local restaurant we called to ask if they had a table available for 5 people which included a highchair and were told not a problem. After arriving we were greeted by smiles by all staff members and our waiter named Joe couldn't help us enough. He immediately settled us in, took our drinks order and asked if there was anything else he could do. Our food arrived quickly and it was hot, unlike other establishments. He simply couldn't do enough for us. We normally visit a more local restaurant but we are so happy we made the further car journey to here. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning again. Thank you Joe!"

"Called in to the White Lion on the spur of the moment today for lunch. On arrival we noticed how lovely the flowers in all the containers were in the car park despite it being late October. We were offered the choice of eating in the restaurant or the bar, we chose the bar and were quickly served with drinks and our order for food was taken. We both chose the the steak and ale pie off the lunch time ‘2 courses for £12.95’ menu. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. A really tasty pie which was piping hot with a light puff pastry top. This was followed by a great Belgium waffle with ice cream. The staff were friendly professional and efficient and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. I would definitely recommend this pub for a good value lunch time meal. It’s a shame other pubs in the area can’t offer such good value especially when many village pubs are struggling to stay afloat. We will return"

"probably the best Sunday brunch I had in one. the mushroom toast filled with button mushrooms and oyster mushrooms, which had a hauch of a puree (not an overwhelming taste, so that not the pie with a fried egg and goat cheese moose are put off. this had every breakfast I had in a long time. the only thing that could make the court better would be if there was still a politicized egg (but in a foodie so I can never have enough). my partner had eier royal, which also did not dissppoint. the Hollandaise sauce was perfect in taste. a beautiful breakfast place and a music visit."
