We have been to The Old Buttercross 4 times now and every one has been a hit!. The food, service and value for money are spot on. It's definitely a case of the whole being greater than the sum of it's parts. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Steak Night, The Cowboy Burger, Burger

Not great would not recommend the Buttercross Oakham, the Sugar Mill Bourne or the Tulip Queen Spalding. There's never what you want available on the menu theyve alway ran out, and the staff can't be bothered, and none of them are that clean overall but especially the toilets!!! Don't waste your money. Needs looking at overall if the chain is to survive in this day and age!!!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

After being disappointed by a local restaurant we called to ask if they had a table available for 5 people which included a highchair and were told not a problem. After arriving we were greeted by smiles by all staff members and our waiter named Joe couldn't help us enough. He immediately settled us in, took our drinks order and asked if there was anything else he could do. Our food arrived quickly and it was hot, unlike other establishments. He simply couldn't do enough for us. We normally visit a more local restaurant but we are so happy we made the further car journey to here. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning again. Thank you Joe!
