"I made a huge mistake. I never review any restaurant, even if they are bad, but this restaurant is a joke. I went there and ordered a wrap for $5.99. I expected it to come with a drink or at least fries. I waited nearly 7 minutes, then she brought me the sandwich. I expected it to be hot, but guess what? It was cold chicken sandwich, full of cold salad and dry with no sauce. Terrible experience."

"I have never seen such an unwelcoming group of staff who were working serving the food and drinks in this rather attractive cafe. The only person who had a smile on her face was the girl on the till. Due to the unfriendly staff we decided not to be tempted by the cakes. We ordered a hot chocolate and a double espresso; the hot chocolate was a very dark cardboard cup full of tasteless dark brown liquid, (I suppose most people don't see this because they have cream and marshmallows). I would challenge anyone on a blind tasting to say what the liquid was supposed to be. I only drink double espresso and I have enjoyed it all over the world but not at The Potting Shed; here it was bitter and unpleasantly rough. Somewhere I would definitely avoid in future."

"I raved about this place in my last review but since then it appears to have changed. Firstly, I cant remember the chairs being so uncomfortable that they had 'scatter ' cushions for you to use if you needed to. Having had back surgery, they made it even worse for me, so did without them in the most uncomfortable chair ever. Now, to the main part of the review. The lovely cakes that I had raved about had disappeared to be replaced by a sorry looking load of bog standard cake. The poor girl who served us was nervous as it was her first day, we ordered pecan pie which came with cream, we asked if its pouring or thick, she had to ask, it was pouring so we asked if we could have ice cream instead, she had to ask. Anyway, we finally ordered our cake and coffee. When she brought the coffee, she spilled half of mine in the saucer and then asked if I wanted a different saucer....duh! she took the offending saucer and the spoon brought a saucer back, no extra serviette to wipe the bottom of the cup and NO SPOON! We were then served the cake and ice cream, which to be fair, was nice, until, halfway through I saw a hair on my friends plate, (she was not wearing her glasses). We knew instantly that it was not either of ours, I have shoulder length hair and her hair was in a bun! We called the poor young lady over and pointed it out, she asked if my friend wanted to change it...duh! Of course she did, she brought another and thankfully my friend shared it with me! The coffee was (flat white) was nice but after that catalogue of events I wont be going back. They do offer a range of snacks/lunches and people did seem to be enjoying them."

"Went here for my birthday with my girlfriend. We live local and hadn’t tried here before. First impressions were it looked a little dated and potentially could have put us off. We were wrong to have dismissed this place. We started with some poppadom with dip, which was tasty. We then split the mixed starter between us which was excellent, the kebab was a highlight. As a main, we had a chicken tikka masala and a Lamb Bahar. We ordered rice with the tikka as this didn’t come with the dish. And a peshwari naan. The tikka was a highlight, great bit of spice and the flavour was excellent. Waiting staff were attentive and got our order right. Atmosphere was very casual, which we liked. Plenty of chatter and buzz. Drinks selection is good, I’ve attached a picture of the drinks menu as we couldn’t find one online. They do also deliver. Overall experience was excellent, great curry house and is ideal for a cheeky curry and just round the corner! We will definitely be back."
