"At arrival I waited a while for someone to notice I was waiting to be seated. Our plates were served cold, no staff came to check if we needed anything and if the food was ok. No salt or pepper offered or on the table. The poached eggs were undercooked, I decided to eat the first poached egg because it was somewhat edible and I didn 't want to come across as rude, but the egg was not great. However when I started to cut into the second poached egg, it was very undercooked and I could not eat it, the egg white was raw inside, clear and runny. After breaking into the second poached egg, my plate started to smell like raw eggs, this made me feel sick so I told the staff about this and also showed the staff the egg white which was clearly undercooked and runny, the staff was unhelpful and said 'that is how it should be ' I then asked if he would eat this to which he responded 'no '. He then took the plate back to the chef, the chef responded by saying that 's how the eggs should be. This is disgusting because I was expected to believe the egg white which was clear, runny and clearly raw inside was edible. The chips tasted like they had been sat there for a while and reheated, they didn 't taste fresh nor were they warm, I also did not eat this and sent this back. Overall poor quality of food and poor quality of service. I have paid similar or less money for excellent food and service in London before. I won 't be coming back or recommending. No care for customer experience. Prices are unjustifiable."

"My family and I went for some “Lunch” at the Energy Café after a morning of walking around the Museum which was great. The service there was terrible and we felt like we were being rushed by the “Gentleman” behind the counter and then I had to shout at the girl at the till to make myself heard because of the Perspex screen between us, eventually I had to bend down and talk to her through the gap in the screen where she gave out the change. The food wasn’t great, my eldest hardly ate any of her Chicken and mine wasn’t very good either but my wife and my youngest daughter persevered with their pretend meat Lasagne. I then made the mistake of buying a cup of tea. It came in a metal teapot and it wasn’t until I started to pour it out that I realised that it was the weakest cup of tea I’d ever seen in my life, it looked like the tea bag had been used before. I even squeezed the tea bag out in the vain hope of making it stronger but to no avail, it was like dish water so in the end I didn’t drink it. We then went to the Natural history museum and after a walk around we got ourselves some drinks and found that the exact same food was being served here as well so I assume that the same catering company must supply the food for all three museums including the V&A. If this is the case then they seriously need to change their caterers."
