"One of THE WORST EXPERIENCES BY FAR of our lives. Took the kids out for lunch. The lounge had at most 15 customers. The FOOD (chicken meals X2) were served with raw chicken on the inside. Both ordered milkshakes were horrendous to say the least. They were warm to taste even after we asked for them to be replaced. They tasted of nothing, no strawberry or vanilla, which even the manager agreed to. The service was NON EXISTENT . Don 't think they know anything about running a restaurant. The server couldn 't understand a word of English, could not explain what he was serving and again 3 times brought someone else 's food to our table. OUR CONCLUSION, NOT GOING ANYWHERE NEAR THIS PLACE AGAIN."

"I had been meaning to write a review for the Shahin for a while now. Me and my family have been ordering our Indian food here for over 15 years and we have never had a bad meal! I have also been in the restaurant numerous times and the service is great as well as the interior of the restaurant itself. My personal favourites are the chicken passanda, which is like a more advanced korma if you are looking for something with a bit more flavour, saag aloo which is always up to standard and tastes delicious and the tarka daal is also a lovely side dish to order if you are a picky eater. I definitely wouldn’t have a love for Indian food as much if it wasn’t for this restaurant!"

"We went for Sunday lunch with two other couples to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversaries. The food was excellent, with a wide menu and served quickly. Our waitress, Emily, was attentive, efficient, and friendly, taking the time to take some photos of our group despite being very busy. Thank you, Emily, for making our celebration special. The price per person was £40-50, with a rating of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere. Recommended dishes include Pan Fried Sea, Sunday Roast, Risotto, and Sticky Toffee Pudding."

"The food and decor were of a high standard. It would have been a 5-star experience if there had been a complimentary drink offered with the 10% service charge, as many Indian restaurants do. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with one of our orders, where a different dish was served instead of the chicken curry that was requested. When we brought this to the waiter's attention, they simply pointed to the menu and made no effort to offer an alternative dish. Overall, considering the price of the meal, it was good but not exceptional."

"The food is always good at wagamamas, and offers something different to the Staines food court but is slightly less authentic. It is always busy in here but is often frequented by a slightly younger demographic than myself and my wife, nothing like coming here on a Friday night to feel old. The service was okay they were busy but had adequate waiting staff, the only issue is they were obviously getting a lot of take out orders through various apps so did mean the wait for food was longer than it used to be. Also their prep station for the takeouts is right at the back of the restaurant, so there are constantly waiting staff going from the kitchen at the front, to the back to packing station, then packing then back past you to give it to the driver. From an operational point of view there are efficiencies which can be made here. From a customer point of view it is quite annoying to having someone constantly coming past you, and leaning into your table whilst trying to make it around other waiting staff."

"Although I have a couple of issues we will return. My issues are wine list could be better with some 13-14% red wines on the list, the banoffe cake was tasteless. Having said that the poppadoms were good with lovely relish and sauces followed by very tasty starters, the moment is certainly a must along with samosas and onion bhaji, the curries were superb as well as the naan breads. They were busy so the service was pushed to its limit but I thought they coped well and it was understandable it slowed a bit but not too badly, all the staff were extremely friendly and we got complimentary aperitifs which was a nice touch. We will be visiting again and probably order delivery as well cos its all yummy ."

"Popped in to this lovely looking thatched village pub in Charlton Village. The outside was adorned with beautiful hanging baskets and flowers. The outside seating area was very busy as was the inside, which has low beams and is very quaint, so gave a very nice atmosphere. We sat in the restaurant area which was very pleasant. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. We ordered vegetable samosas and traditional chicken curry (medium) with pilau rice and plain Nan bread. The food was piping hot and extremely tasty. The quality of the Nan bread was amazing, very authentic like it was out of a authentic curry house, but better. We got so much chicken as well as sauce, just enough to dip my Nan bread in. Good value for money and I will definitely be back, soon."

"Ordered the bbq pulled pork with cheese and parsley over chips. On receiving the food there was no bbq sauce,no cheese no parsley. Just plain pork and chips together. The dough strips was ment to be served with 3 sauces and only received 2 and the dough was extremely chewy. The bbq pulled pork pizza was plain and no taste,if there was a slither of sauce on the pork it was not noticed. Only recieved a refund of £12 and the order was £33. "We had a pleasant table and the service was quick and efficient. However, the standout of our experience was the food. My partner really enjoyed her slow-cooked shoulder of lamb shepherd's pie, and my sirloin steak may have been the best I've ever had. The mushrooms were also excellent. It seems like The Bells has a new manager and chef, and it definitely made a positive impact. The only downside was the limited selection of starters, but we opted to skip that and have dessert instead, which was delicious."

"Our fried chicken was served cold and soggy, the Camembert was also served cold and still in the shop wrapping! In addition to this it was tiny and came with 1 slice of bread that was toasted on one side, we requested more bread when the Camembert was placed on the table (before realising it was cold) we were then informed there would be a charge on £1 “but we can then give you loads” in which we agreed but it never came! The bar staff were all stood behind the bar chatting and nobody even came to see how we were getting on with our meal. The rest of the food came in very small portions considering the price! Last but not least the nachos had all of the sauces thrown on the top, this being the only thing that came with loads was the sauces which made the nachos so soggy due to the ratio! I have to say the manager did remove the Camembert and chicken from the bill but then never sent it over! Then we had to try to get the waiters/bar tenders attention and once we finally did and got the bill it was still wrong and still have the £1 for the bread which we’d already complained about! Highly disappointing and most definitely not worth the money even after having stuff removed from the bill!!!"

"I visited here for the first time despite living here for 10+ years. I decided to go for some lunch as I fancied something different from a traditional cafe and wanted to support an independent trader. We chose a toasted sandwich of brie, bacon and cranberry, sweet potato fries, a beef burger, a cappuccino and a lemonade. I was rather disappointed and found the food a little underwhelming. The sandwich, on what appeared to be ordinary sliced wholemeal bread and fries cost about £13, which I felt was rather expensive as the overall taste, presentation and ingredients were very average and the fries were rather salty(salt can always be added by the customer if needed).The burger again was very simplistic. While I can 't remember all the individual costs of the food and drinks the bill came too just over £35.00, which for what we had felt was quite pricey. I feel they could make some quick and simple tweaks to the food, which would elevate it into a more 'premier ' product which their price point suggests. Overall the inside is great, the choice of seating areas is interesting and different, also having an alcohol licence is great but the food could be improved to offer better valve for money."

"Our order was wrong twice, everything was absolutely filthy and the employee ‘damien’ who claimed to be the manager was the rudest person I have encountered in the service industry. When we asked for a refund he refused to work out what was due so...we had to do it ourselves. Shrugged to every comment we made and was incredibly argumentive when we simply advised why we weren’t happy with what we had received. When I said it was disappointing no one had apologised he shrugged and said ‘not my fault’ after some time we eventually got our refund and I asked him to confirm he did not wish to offer an apology to which he replied no. No apology. I have emailed costa a complaint so will await their response. With so many other coffee shops in Staines I would strongly recommend going somewhere else!"

"We ordered a pizza and a chicken burger along with our drinks at the restaurant. Surprisingly, the pizza was served in a pizza box. When I requested a plate, we were given two paper plates. Fortunately, we had two plates as I had to share the pizza, which had a nice flavor. Unfortunately, the chicken burger I ordered was served in a takeaway box. It consisted of an untoasted white bun with a small piece of chicken on a few pieces of lettuce drenched in mayonnaise. I was not satisfied with the burger and returned it for a refund. The staff member contacted her manager but was unable to authorize the refund. Despite multiple attempts, I was initially not refunded. After asserting myself politely, the £8 refund was finally given to me, and we left the restaurant."

"during a Thursday lunch time, the place looked quieter than it should be, but I was greeted with a friendly member of the staff and I had to choose where I could sit. I got several options to order, I went with the QR code on the table for convenience sake. but I am glad that the possibility of table service is also there. eating was amazing! good tasting, juicy burger cooked with the meat to perfection, I think it was worth the price in all honesty. also the part of the sweet potato friars was more than I expected, which is good in my books: would come again without a doubt. gourmet burger kitchen filled my Burger gift for this day, and the personal ensured that I had a good time."

"fantastic food! my friend and I visit sushi nara sometimes twice a week, eating is simply stunning and the staff is very friendly. sometimes they bring up tasty and they are really amazing! we always order them at our next visit. the fish is so tender and will simply melt in the mouth and the rice is not only to fill it, also its delicious. the ebi fri (prawns) is simply yummy and so multiish! what can I say when you come by or just want a few simple foods. come here! we travel hundreds of miles for a good evening meal, and thanks to sushi nara is right in front of our house door."

"I went on a Saturday afternoon with my friend after the previous experience of visiting the golden grill. I even dreamed 24 hours before the full English breakfast that it would be a real one. the extensive menu confirms mine. selection it was fantastic and a huge amount of nice freshly prepared dine I have a healthy appetit! Nevertheless, my friend had to help me a little bit to finish everything and leave a clean plate. she had a large vegetable omelet with a sausage and bean baked, good looking! I know she was completely satisfied. friendly service and reasonable prices, nothing to like and we will be safe again. next time maybe I could be tried by one of their kebabs when they looked amazing. my friend had previously kebabs from the golden grill and recommends them. only a small thing to know, and it wasn't a deal breaker the full English breakfast in £9.80 does not include a coffee or tee in the opposite to almost any other caffe or similar venue I've ever been. be prepared to pay extra for their drink as they would do to most places if they eat like a burger or kebab. I am still very happy to recommend this place."
